Hay Retreats, Hay-on-Wye, Hereford, Herefordshire (Sleeps 1-5)

Hay Retreats offers fantastic self-catering accommodation a stone’s throw from the town centre of Hay on Wye. Our two adjacent properties look directly out over the stunning River Wye, an oasis of calm yet only a three-minute walk from the heart of Hay and all its amenities.

Accommodation:
We have two elegantly furnished three-bedroomed houses with exactly the same layouts: no 25 and no 26 Mill Bank.

Each house has a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor with French windows which open out onto the private deck; the perfect place for a morning coffee, listening to the river through the horse chestnut trees which border the water.

The first floor contains the master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, opposite the spacious and comfortable sitting room with its Smart TV. The floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors can be retracted completely in the summer to enjoy the river view.

On the top floor of the house, the large double bedroom, which can be configured with either a super-king bed or twins, shares a shower/bathroom with a cosy study bedroom with a single bed and dormer windows.

You will feel equally at home whether you arrive with a friend or partner, or as a group or family of five people. The houses are light and spacious, but because they were built only fifteen years ago, are well insulated and cosy in the winter months.

Visiting Hay and the Border Country:
We are in a brilliant location to explore all the area has to offer. Quirky Hay on Wye has long had a reputation as a book town, but it also has many other independent shops, as well as cafes, three art galleries, pubs and restaurants. We can now also boast a fabulously renovated Castle and grounds.
