Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden with a barbecue.

Cherry Barn
Cherry Barn is a spacious and well-appointed property, perfect for a tranquil break. The kitchen is fully equipped, similar to Willow Barn, while the living and dining area includes a TV, DVD player, dining table and attractive exposed beams. The barn benefits from underfloor heating and features a large bedroom with a double bed, single bed and pull-out bed, along with countryside views. There is also a private garden with a barbecue.

The Gatehouse
The Gatehouse is a modern property offering everything needed for a relaxing stay. The open-plan living area includes a sectioned-off sleeping space with a double bed. The living area is equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD player and a cosy wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom includes a shower. Outside, there is a garden with a patio area, ideal for al fresco dining.

Located just 5 miles from Dorchester and 10 miles from Weymouth, they offer a convenient base for exploring the area.

Dove House sleeps up to 13 people in 7 en suite bedrooms. The interior is light, spacious, and furnished to a high standard. The property has oil central heating throughout and an enclosed garden area with a patio. The ground floor consists of a spacious living room with an open fire in a stone surround and rugs on an oak floor. It features a TV/DVD player, radio/cassette/CD player, and a full Sky package. A good selection of books and games is also provided. French doors lead to the garden.

The large kitchen/dining room is perfect for group gatherings. The painted oak kitchen is equipped with white stone tops, a 6 burner gas hob, 3 ovens, microwave, large fridge, large fridge/freezer, drinks fridge, and 2 dishwashers (all Neff appliances). The area also includes a flat screen TV, sofa, ceramic floor, shuttered windows, and full-length curtains over the French windows leading to the secure south-facing garden and patio area. We are close to the stunning Jurassic Coastline. You can visit Dancing Ledge near Studland or enjoy the sights of Durdle Door near Lulworth Cove. The lovely old Harbour at Weymouth, The Fleet, Chesil Beach, and Golden Cap at Chideock are all worth visiting. The famous Cobb at Lyme Regis is wonderful for fossil hunting.

Enjoy stunning coastal walks covering nearly all these areas and savour glorious views. The walking and cycling trails are extensive both from Dove House and nearby locations. We can direct you to some great circular walks to justify that big supper in the evening. There are more gardens, National Trust properties, houses, and locations than you could ever fit in a one-week visit. The Tourist Board can provide the annual National Garden Scheme booklet for open gardens prior to your stay.

Greenwood Grange offers 17 superb holiday cottages situated at Higher Bockhampton and close to the lovely market town of Dorchester. Our cottages are the perfect base for those wishing to explore Dorset's many attractions including its spectacular Jurassic Coast.

We have 17 tastefully decorated and furnished holiday cottages on offer. They have been superbly equipped with all the modern conveniences you could possibly need. Each cottage comes with a relaxing lounge with Freeview TV and comfy seating. The kitchens are well equipped with a range of appliances to suit all your needs. The bedrooms are all beautifully furnished and all the bathrooms come with contemporary fittings. 

Two of the cottages have hot tubs and onsite we have 2 tennis courts, a swimming pool, play areas, a games room and a sauna.

There are many walks in the area, including the 66 acres of mixed woodland and heath in Thorncombe Wood. The Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage site, is only a few miles away and there are gardens, houses, castles, beautiful villages and so much more to explore. Dogs are allowed in certain properties and we have animals of our own – hedgehogs, Tess the cat who keeps the mice away, deer, badgers and masses of birdlife.
