Coast & Beaches: The nearest beach is at Aberporth on Cardigan Bay, just 20 minutes’ drive away. Cardigan Bay is well known for its dolphin and seal populations, which can often be spotted from the shore or on boat trips from Newquay.

Clyn Glas Holiday Cottages offers wonderful self-catering accommodation in Cwmhiraeth near Newcastle Emlyn. Nestled in a glorious location overlooking the valley where the Hiraeth stream runs, we truly are an idyllic holiday destination. Our cottages in Carmarthenshire have been recently refurbished to offer high-quality accommodation.

Our two charming cottages each come with its garden, set in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Both cottages have wood-burning stoves and an immersion heater, ensuring you are warm and toasty all year round.

Upper Cottage (Y Bwthyn Uchaf) comes with a gorgeous A-frame bedroom with double and full furniture suites. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge/diner and a fitted bathroom with a bath, shower, hand basin and a WC.

Lower Cottage (Y Bwthyn Isaf) boasts stunning views across the valley. A spacious kitchen/breakfast room and a lounge/dining room are on the ground floor. A lounge comes with a sofa bedroom and a ground floor cloakroom has a WC.

Each cottage comes with an electric cooker, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and automatic washing machine, as well as a microwave oven, toaster, sandwich toaster and a kettle. Facilities also include a TV, DVD player and a radio alarm in each bedroom.

The cottages are set on a hill overlooking the pastoral scene of the valley where the Hiraeth stream flows to join the River Teifi. They are excellently situated for bird watching and there are opportunities for walking directly from the cottages, as well as in the wider environment.

The nearest beach is at Aberporth on Cardigan Bay, about 20 mins drive away. The cottages make an ideal centre for the whole of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, which are rich in coastal and inland beauty spots. Cardigan Bay is famous for its dolphin and seal populations and these may often be seen from the shore or by taking boat trips out from Newquay.

There is much to see and do in the area. Guests may like to take advantage of the fishing (both game and course), which the area offers, and/or the golf courses in the area.
