Gilfach Farm Self Catering in Gilfach offers beautiful self catering accommodation, based on our 60-acre farm. We are nestled away in a steep-sided valley near Sennybridge and only a 5 minute drive from the A40, making us the perfect base for exploring Powys.

Accommodation

We have a range of accommodation to choose from to suit all needs. Parts of the original 400-year-old stone barn have been converted into holiday accommodation. We also offer glamping accommodation. In total, there are 5 self catering units that are completely distinct from each other. Onsite we have also a BBQ hut, available by reservation and free to use.

Cosy Barn Cottage

This lovely barn conversion boasts wooden beams throughout and sleeps 4 people or 6 including a sofa bed. Inside there is a well-equipped kitchen with a range of appliances: an under-counter fridge (+ freezer compartment), a full size electric oven with built-in hob and a microwave oven. Unwind in the lounge that has a toasty wood burning stove, a flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Upstairs there is a double room and a twin room. Downstairs there is a power-shower. Outside there is an enclosed patio with a circular picnic table, great for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.

Relaxing Barn Loft

Our charming barn conversion offers original wooden beams and sleeps 2 people, great for a romantic getaway. The open lounge/kitchen will suit all your needs. The lounge has a screen Smart TV, Bluetooth soundbar and a DVD Player. Enjoy some home-cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes a full size electric oven with inbuilt hob. A fridge, freezer and microwave are built into the space in the hallway. The bedroom comes with a king-size bed and the adjoining washroom has a power shower.

Tucked Away Log Cabin

Our lovely ground level log cabin sleeps 4 people and has private decking with an all-weather table and chairs, great for a glass of wine whilst savouring the views. The open plan kitchen/lounge area is well-equipped. The kitchen includes an under-counter fridge, an electric oven with ceramic hob and a microwave oven. Relax in the cosy lounge, with facilities including a flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD Player. Bedrooms consist of a bunk room and a double room. Both rooms share a shower room.

Snug Oak Hut

This delightful shepherds hut is luxuriously furnished, perfect for a magical country escape, sleeping up to 2 people. Inside this light and airy hut is a kitchen space with a microwave oven, kettle, toaster, single ring induction hob, small fridge and even a traditional Belfast sink. A double bed is perfect for a restful night’s sleep and there is a flat screen above. A compact shower room has a walk-in electric shower. Underfloor electric heating and a small traditional wood burning stove will keep you toasty in the winter months. Outside there is a private patio with an all-weather table and chairs and BBQ for al fresco dining.

Luxury Bell Tent

Our fabulous bell tent sleeps 2 people and is tucked away in a secluded corner away from the farm building. This beautifully furnished tent includes a double bed, blanket box, two chairs and a coffee table. The double bed has a memory foam mattress with squishy topper, pure British wool baavet and 100% cotton linen. A single folding bed is available on request and there is also a canvas dining canopy including a 2 ring table top gas stove, fridge, table and chairs. Guests have exclusive use of a wet room which includes a shower and toilet.

This part of the country has an abundance of amazing walking and cycling routes to enjoy, offering the perfect way to admire the gorgeous natural scenery. You can enjoy a lovely day out at Dinky Donkey Walking near Sennybridge or relax on the dog friendly beach at Oxwich Bay. Great attractions to visit include:

Greyfield Farm Cottages are nestled in a private, peaceful 3.5-acre setting overlooking the Mendips (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). They are just outside of High Littleton near Bath and are ideal for visiting the South West.

About The Cottages

Comprising five attractive stone self catering cottages: Old Dairy (sleeps 2), Valley View (sleeps 3), Byre Cottage (sleeps 4), Mendip Magic (sleeps 4)and Little Paradise (sleeps 4). The luxurious cottages are situated around the old farmyard.

Each cottage is unique, spacious, double glazed, centrally heated, fully equipped, comfortably furnished with a TV/DVD/player, include log fires (except Mendip Magic) and Wi-Fi Internet Access. Each cottage has its own garden/patio area, great for having breakfast or enjoying that relaxing late afternoon drink. All the properties also include luxurious feather and down duvets & pillows (synthetic ones available), quality linen, and towels.

White Horse Farm is situated in rural Dorset. We are surrounded by miles and miles of glorious unspoilt countryside in Middlemarsh near Sherborne. Nestled at the edge of Cranborne Chase, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are perfect for those who are looking for a break away to the country.

About White Horse Farm:

Our properties are surrounded by 2 acres of gardens and a paddock with a large duck pond. We have a BBQ hut for family get-togethers of up to 15 people that will ensure rain or shine a warm cosy place to have some fun. The recreation room has table football and a large collection of DVDs to borrow, books, indoor and outdoor games and much more.

You can enjoy many delightful walks in the surrounding area and there are dozens of tourist attractions locally. If you wish to fish, walk, and horse-ride or play golf, there are facilities within a short drive. If you wish to travel further, the lovely Dorset coast is within easy reach. All cottages include:

Otter's Holt:

This is a luxurious Wessex built Milbourne log cabin with three bedrooms and provides self-catering accommodation for up to eight people. There is one double (en suite) and two twin bedrooms. There is a decked balcony, a large lounge with the option of bed settee and a well fitted out kitchen which is equipped with all the necessities you will need for a week or two away. Otters Holt is set to the side of the paddock within a large grassed garden area with lovely country views.

Toad Hall:

This has two bedrooms. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The front door opens into the lounge with the dining area at the back and a kitchen off to the side. The kitchen is fully equipped providing everything that we think you will need for your holiday. There is a shower room at the back or the cottage.

Badger's:

This has a double bedroom. The front door opens into a small hall leading to the lounge and the bedroom. The dining area is to the side of the lounge with the kitchen off to the side. The kitchen is fully equipped providing everything that we think you will need. There is a shower room at the back of the cottage.

Ratty's:

This has a twin bedroom. The front door opens into the lounge with the kitchen at the back. The dining area is to the side of the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped providing everything that we think you will need for your holiday. There is a shower room leading from the lounge and it is also an en suite to the bedroom. Ratty’s also has the added benefit of a comfortable sofa bed that can be used for family or guests. This works very well with the shower room as you can gain access from either room.

Moley’s:

This has a double bedroom. The front door opens into the lounge with the bedroom off to the side. The dining area leads off the lounge with the kitchen to the left of the dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped providing everything that we think you will need for your holiday. There is a shower room at the back of the cottage.

Visiting Middlemarsh & Exploring Dorset:

Middlemarsh is in rural Dorset and surrounded by miles and miles of glorious unspoilt Hardy countryside. Lying between the historic towns of Sherborne, Dorchester and Cerne Abbas. Our cottages and farmhouse are within easy reach of local inns which all serve good food and fine Dorset ales in a friendly atmosphere. We are also only 150 yards from the Hunters Moon pub next door.

We have 3 gorgeous pods to choose from, Beatles (60’s LodgePod), Queen (70’s LodgePod) and Madonna (80’s LodgePod). Madonna and Queen sleep 6 (no more than 4 adults), whilst Beatles sleep 4. Scattered around the pods you’ll find retro artefacts, retro books and mags, LP records, record players or cassette or CD players and a retro lava lamp in Beatles and Queen.

Our family and dog-friendly pods offer everything you need for a tranquil and relaxing getaway in the country, including central heating, a shower, a toilet and a fully equipped kitchen for rustling up some delicious dishes. The Aquaforno 2 Pop Up Pizza Oven & BBQ Grill are ideal for al fresco dining whilst the sun is shining.

You can unwind in the cosy living area in front of the 32" Smart TV after a busy day exploring. The comfortable bedrooms even come with a 24’’ smart TV with Amazon to catch your favourite show own.
