Madog’s Wells is set within eight acres of beautiful countryside, surrounded by peaceful woodland walks and abundant wildlife. It is an ideal location for birdwatching, walking or touring Mid Wales, with guests even able to observe birds from the breakfast table.
About the Cottages
Both self-catering units are well equipped, offering ample cooking utensils, china, cutlery, flat-screen Sky TV, DVD players, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and first aid kits. Heating, bedding, linen, some towels, tea towels and utilities are all included in the price.
There is ample parking, and each cottage has its own patio area furnished with tables and chairs. Guests also have access to a rotary clothesline with pegs and washing machines. A travel cot and high chair are available on request.
A children’s play area and a games room are available on site, with the games room offering darts, pool and table tennis (parental supervision required for under 12s).

Blackbird Cottage
This spacious cottage, built in 2001 to the owners’ specifications, features:

The well-equipped kitchen includes a Calor gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table and chairs, including a carver chair.

The area offers many attractions and activities, including Powis Castle, Corner House Gallery, Lake Vyrnwy and Welshpool Golf Club, which also features an on-site restaurant.
