Champernhayes is a collection of 15th Century farm buildings outside of Wootton Fitzpaine & Monkyon Wyld, near Charmouth in Dorset. Our farm buildings have been beautifully converted into wonderful holiday cottages, nestled on a gorgeous West Dorset hillside, perfect for an idyllic getaway.

The self-catering cottages and farmhouse have been awarded 4 stars Gold by Visit England, ensuring a high standard of accommodation to suit all your needs. We are surrounded by magnificent countryside, great for a tranquil holiday.

The Farmhouse:

This outstanding holiday cottage comes with 4 bedrooms and enjoys sea views. This 15th Century thatched farmhouse sleeps 8 – 10 people. There is a living room with an inglenook fireplace and a log burner, a modern, well-equipped kitchen/diner fitted with limed oak units and an antique farmhouse table and 4 bedrooms (one of which is a downstairs twin bedroom with a cloakroom/WC). Upstairs there are a further three bedrooms. Outside there is a gorgeous south-facing garden with a gas BBQ and patio for al fresco dining whilst savouring the view.

Barn:

A fabulous 16th Century thatched Barn conversion sleeping 10/12. There is a first-floor sitting room with exposed A-frame beams, a log burner and spectacular southerly views across the valley to the sea at Charmouth. The kitchen has a four-oven Aga and an adjoining dining hall. On the first floor, you will find 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin) all with en suites, while on the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) with shared bathroom facilities. This holiday cottage has a large south-facing private garden and patio area with glorious views across the Dorset countryside.

Blackbird:

This delightful cottage has been beautifully converted from the original farmhouse buildings and sleeps 6 people. The open-plan sitting room has a coal-burning stove and the split-level kitchen with a dining area is fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay. There are 3 bedrooms at the holiday cottage, two of which are double bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms. The 3rd bedroom is a twin room with its own en suite facilities. This holiday cottage also has a private garden with a patio and barbecue area.

Owl:

Our charming cottage sleeps 4 and has been recently refurbished to offer quality accommodation. A traditional country-style, open-plan kitchen comes with a dishwasher, washer-dryer, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. The sitting area has a coal-burning stove and dining table. There is one double bedroom with an en suite shower room and one twin-bedded room with en suite bathroom. Guests also have access to a private garden with a patio and barbecue area.

Lark:

This superb ground-level cottage sleeps 4 people 2 bedrooms, both are en suite. This holiday home includes a traditional country-style kitchen with a dishwasher, washer dryer, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. The open-plan lounge has plenty of soft seating, along with the wood-burning stove this is a lovely room to relax in no matter the time of day. This holiday cottage has 2 bedrooms (one double bedroom with en suite bathroom & one twin bedded room with en suite bathroom) perfect for a family of 4. Outside is a private garden with patio and barbecue area, offering a great for a glass of wine in the evening sun.

Swallow:

This delightful little holiday cottage is perfect for a couple and those holidaying on their own. There is an open plan sitting room with a dining and kitchen area, a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a private garden with a patio and barbecue area. Outside there is a private garden complete with a patio, hardwood garden furniture and barbeque, great for al fresco dining in the summer.

Facilities include an indoor children’s plunge pool, shared between guests with free booking for private use on arrival.

The whole area is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is easily accessible from the main A35 road. The coast between Charmouth and Lyme Regis is World famous for its rocks and fossils dating back 190 Million years. Panorama Cottages, Llangollen, Denbighshire (Sleeps 1-8)

Panorama Cottages are a collection of holiday homes located in a rural part of Denbighshire, outside of Llangollen. They are nestled below a dramatic limestone escarpment and provide an ideal base for couples and families who are looking for an enjoyable breakaway. We also have a 5-seater hot tub available for guests for the duration of their stay.

1 Bed Cottage:

A stylishly furnished property with a kitchen/lounge upstairs, allowing guests to enjoy the spectacular views. There is a half balcony installed that is south-facing and has French windows. It has been renovated to the highest standard with lots of original features retained where possible and furnishings and fittings are chosen to complement the style and setting. There is a full complement of kitchen appliances and equipment and a stylishly appointed bathroom.

2 Bed Cottage:

Our 2 bedroomed cottage has a large split-level kitchen/lounge. Where possible, natural wall features have been retained to provide an authentic cottage feel and the lounge area has the original slate flag floor which has been lovingly restored and relaid. A private outside patio area is accessed through double patio doors from the lounge. The kitchen is accessed up 2 steps and has a fully equipped shaker-style kitchen with a dishwasher, electric hob/oven, and eye-level fridge over the deep freeze. All appliances are behind fascia panels to create a clean uncluttered look. There is also a downstairs WC/utility room with a washing machine and storage area. Upstairs the cottage has a large master bedroom with ancient crooked oak beams and a 4 poster bed. There is a dressing table and a hanging rail positioned behind an Indian hardwood screen. There is also a wall-mounted flat-screen television. The main bathroom and the second bedroom are on a higher level. The bathroom has bath (and shower over bath) facilities, WC and wash hand basin. The second bedroom has a double bed between 2 tall bedside units and also contains a chest of drawers and hanging rail.

3 Bed Cottage:

The 3 bed cottage is south facing, spacious and can accommodate small or large groups alike. Outside there is a large patio with a 6 seat table set. Inside an elegant solid oak kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including a full height fridge freezer. There is a full length oak dining table with 6 chairs and the downstairs area also has a utility room with washer/dryer and a downstairs cloakroom. The lounge area is accessed up a short flight of steps and is well furnished with a large leather, corner grouped sofa and separate sofa bed. There is a large television with satellite Freeview channels available. The three bedrooms and main bathroom lead off a central landing. There is a large master bedroom with a king size bed, a double bedroom and also a single bedroom which is narrow but long. The bathroom has a full size bath and shower over bath facilities.

2 Bed Lodge:

Beautifully appointed throughout, this 2 bed lodge has been constructed using the latest techniques whilst keeping a traditional natural stone exterior. The lodge boasts underfloor heating and an en suite master bedroom. The lodge is south facing and has commanding views down the valley towards Llangollen and Dinas Bran castle. The cottage has a full HD television in the lounge and also a television in the master bedroom. There is parking for 3 cars. The lodge is disabled friendly being on one level and all the internal doors are 2'9" wide.

The Farmhouse:

Our 17th Century farmhouse has been beautifully renovated to offer high-quality accommodation. Inside there is a wood burning stove to keep you warm and toasty. You can also enjoy glorious countryside views in the private 8 seater hot tub. Downstairs there is a well-equipped kitchen and a large dining table which seats up to 10 people. The lounge area comes with a gorgeous inglenook fireplace and comfy seating. The downstairs bathroom comes with a double ended Victorian bath and a separate shower. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms: 2 doubles and 2 twin rooms.

Visiting Llangollen & Exploring Denbighshire:

The views from our cottages are unparalleled. With Llangollen to the south, the Horshoe Pass to the west and uninterrupted views of Dinas Bran Castle to the east. Llangollen now benefits from being within the World Heritage Site created to recognise Thomas Telfords Canal Aqueduct 4 miles away at Trevor. The ground floor is open plan with a tiled floor, dining area and lounge with TV. There is full Wi-Fi and a telephone point. AA 4-star Gold.

Diamond Cottage is the latest cottage to be converted at Phepson Farm. Named after the last cart horse to work here in the thirties, the cottage is converted from part of the old cowshed and stables.

It is a ground-floor conversion, with a wealth of oak beams. There is a king-size double bedroom and a twin bedded room. There is a family shower room with a toilet and a separate toilet and washbasin. The kitchen will be fully fitted with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer electric oven and hob. The dining area in the kitchen is adjacent to a south-facing French window. There is full underfloor heating with terracotta tiles throughout.

The lounge with French windows leads onto a paved seating area with garden furniture. There is a TV and DVD player.

Our fabulous cottage is great for families or groups, sleeping up to 14 people in 5 en suite bedrooms, including a bedroom with a luxurious bathtub. In total there are 5 attractive double beds and 2 singles. The house was originally built in 1916 but now offers high-quality accommodation.

Blaney Bay Cottage:

This gorgeous cottage sleeps 3 people and comes with everything you need for a memorable holiday. Upstairs there is a gallery with a double and single bed. On the ground floor, there is a living area with a wood burner for those chilly dates, a shower room and a well-equipped kitchen. A BBQ is provided for al fresco dining.

Blaney Island Cottage:

Our fantastic cottage is ideal for an unforgettable getaway, offering 3 upstairs bedrooms, including 1 double and 2 twins, plus a bathroom. A ground-floor double room and shower room are also available. The delightful open kitchen/dining/living area will suit all your needs. Unwind on the charming patio whilst savouring the amazing lake views.

Onsite we have a wonderful spa and yoga centre, offering yoga classes and massage treatments, as well as a hot tub and sauna. Overlooking the lake is a lovely playground for children. You are also welcome to explore the farm and wander around the waterside. Rowing boats are available for hire.

Visiting Matheson Croft & Exploring Argyll:

Port Appin is well known for its two fine restaurants, The Pierhouse and The Airds Hotel boasting both gourmet and locally caught seafood dishes and attracts food lovers from around the world, including the rich and famous.
