Penroc boasts a delightful location in Cwmystwyth, surrounded by beautiful countryside with magnificent views. It has a large balcony with glorious views of the Ystwyth valley.
Our holiday cottage has one twin bedroom and a double bedroom with an adjoining balcony. This allows you to appreciate the beautiful view across the valley. Downstairs there is one large room with a well-equipped kitchen area along one wall, a large seating area with double glazed picture windows & a cosy living area around an attractive gas stove.
If you require more bedrooms and a second bathroom, there is a connecting soundproofed door to the adjoining cottage. When unlocked, you can enjoy two double bedrooms and three twin bedrooms with plenty of space for ten people. For details see our other property Ty Mari on our website.
The fenced garden area is limited and shared between Ty Mari and Penroc but there is space for cars, sunbathing and a barbecue for each cottage.
Cwmystwyth is a farming community lying by the Cambrian Mountains and the cottage looks out onto sheep grazed uplands. Below, the Ystwyth valley with its ancient hanging oaks and contemporary coniferous woodland is one of the most beautiful valleys in mid-Wales. There are glorious walks along the river with spectacular waterfalls in wetter weather. The river is just three minutes walk away.
Natural England manages the woodland around Cwmystwyth. The forest tracks provide a variety of walks and are particularly appreciated by dog owners as they are free of sheep. Many of the walks are waymarked, but there are Ordnance Survey maps in each cottage. There are stunning views from the surrounding summits.
