Apple Loft Cottage is a converted stone barn sleeping two people. It is attached to the owner’s charming 17th century Grade II listed Devon longhouse. It is situated to the south of the Dartmoor National Park within four acres of gardens and meadow. The River Dart and South Devon Railway run behind the property.
This beautifully furnished cottage comes with everything you need for a magical staycation in a gorgeous part of the country. The cottage sleeps up to 2 people am offers a great base for exploring the area.
On the ground floor is a delightful sitting/dining room with a beamed vaulted ceiling, sofa and captain’s chair. Facilities include a TV/DVD player and wood-burner effect electric stove, whilst the windows take advantage of the delightful views over the patio and garden towards the pond and orchard below. A well-equipped cream shaker style kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Upstairs there is a sumptuous king-size bedroom with a vaulted beamed ceiling. All bed linen and towels are included. Downstairs there is a shower room with a modern corner shower unit, wash bowl on a shaker style cabinet and WC.
Outside there is a private courtyard with a patio, plus garden and grounds.
Whilst set in a quiet rural location, Apple Loft is minutes from the A38 and one mile from the quaint town of Buckfastleigh. Ashburton, known as the “The Gateway to the Moor” is three miles away. The Elizabethan town of Totnes with its wonderful shops and eating places just five. The cottage is mid-way between Exeter and Plymouth.
