The Swiss Chalet was built over 100 years ago and is part of the beautiful Ballamoar Castle Estate in the Isle of Man. This self catering chalet can sleep up to 12 people when it is rented along with The Loft Apartment which is next door to the chalet.
The holiday accommodation has an elegant dining room has a traditional walnut dining suite for those special evenings, whilst the large lounge is comfortable furnished with TV, open fire and grand piano. There is plenty of space for all and the house is fully equipped throughout with everything you may need during your stay.
The chalet oozes character and is a cosy retreat for 8 people. All of the bedrooms are upstairs and made up ready for your arrival. The bedrooms consist of a master double, a twin bed and 2 single bedrooms. A bathroom, separate shower and separate WC can also be found upstairs to accommodate all guests.
Ballamoar lies on the Northern plains of the Island, 6 miles from Ramsey and 17 miles from Douglas, the capital. This is a super location for families, groups and individuals who enjoy the peace, quietness and tranquillity of the countryside. Guests at the holiday home are welcome to walk in the grounds and woods of Ballamoar Castle and take in some of the extremely rare species of plants and trees - many being over 200 years old. Maybe enjoy watching the bird life including herons.
Close by are the lovely sandy beaches of the Island's Western coast. Twenty minutes away is the historic old city of Peel. Even closer is the extensive Curraghs Wildlife Park - full of exotic animals and birds only 2 miles away is Close Sartfield Nature Reserve and hide. A most peaceful afternoon or evening can be spent here. This is an ideal base for golfing, walking, fishing and cycling holidays.
