This superb, luxurious, historic sandstone country cottage sits in 6 acres of private, flower-filled, landscaped gardens and pastureland. Located in the gardens it has its own private hot tub. Quaint stone mullion and pretty leaded glass windows, cosy wood-burning stoves nestled under inglenook fireplaces, ancient oak beamed ceilings throughout and part timbered walls enhance the charm of this exceptional Grade II listed cottage, dated as 1709. The cottage is fitted and furnished to a high standard with antique pine furniture and co-ordinating furnishings, having also the luxury of full oil central heating plus 2 cosy log stoves. There are 3 floors with very shallow stairs- 6 steps to each full landing making access easy for the young or elderly.
Hillside Croft has 5 bedrooms, 4 double (1 en suite) and 1 twin bed. In these rooms are also 4 purpose-built single beds, and 2 cots, making the sleeping capacity 14 (+ 2 by arrangement only).
There is a separate lounge and dining room both have cosy log stoves which add a cosy ambience to the full oil central heating. Exquisitely furnished with handmade antique pine furniture which is designed to complement this historic character cottage. A large flat-screen TV with Freeview, DVD and CD player are supplied for your enjoyment. Wi-Fi is available.
The farmhouse kitchen is fully fitted in handmade pine units with tiled and granite worktops and a French double pottery sink. Facilities include a full halogen electric cooker, slow cooker, microwave, auto washer, tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and chest freezer. An iron and board, electric mixer, kettle, toaster, blender, coffee maker etc are all provided. The kitchen is a delight to work in with everything at hand for the adventurous chef. Catering can also be provided at the cottage and there are pubs walking distance which also provide food.
There is a large master bathroom with roll-top bath, sink, walk-in shower and W/C. The master bedroom has an en suite shower with, sink and W/C. Both have shaving sockets. Downstairs is a third W/C and sink.
Linen, towels, heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are included, as is its own private hot tub. A fire pit BBQ, Chimera and quality aluminium patio furniture overlooking the large gardens and fenced ponds are provided for your use and enjoyment. There is a shed for cycle storage and outdoor games for children to enjoy. There is private off-road car parking for all guests.
Catering for a special meal in with friends and family and meals on arrival, food deliveries, special occasion cakes can all be arranged.
