Choose from a range of accommodations to suit different needs. There are 10 standard apartments, 5 deluxe apartments, 2 two-bedroom bungalows, and 3 three-bedroom bungalows. The standard and deluxe apartments are arranged around a large, heated swimming pool, which includes a separate toddler area. The self-catering bungalows are located to one side and come with their own lawn and hot spa pool.
For families with young children, the site provides cots and highchairs at no additional charge, and additional single beds can be added to twin rooms if required. Adjacent to the main pool is a small play area, a sauna, and a second hot spa pool. During the summer season, the owner keeps rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens near the offices, much to the delight of children. There is also a pool room next to the office, which is a magnet for older children.
Visiting Castel & Exploring Guernsey
Vazon Bay, located in the parish of Castel on the west coast of Guernsey, offers the best surf on the island. When the tide is right, the centre section of the beach is filled with surf enthusiasts. However, there is still plenty of room for those who prefer to swim, belly board, rock pool, barbeque, or sunbathe.
During the high season, a surf school sets up on the common ground, offering tuition, a summer surf school, and the hire of boards and wetsuits, which is much appreciated by many of our guests. Additionally, about once a month, sand racing enthusiasts bring their old bangers to the beach, racing at high speeds—a spectacle worth witnessing.
For those who enjoy walking, the Fort Houmet headland is only a pleasant 20-minute walk away, ideal for an after-dinner stroll or morning jog. This area is popular with local fishermen as a good bass fishing spot and offers historical interest with a restored World War II bunker and a shrine decorated entirely with shells.
