The Lodge:

Our renovated gamekeeper’s lodge was formerly attached to the neighbouring Sheffield Park Estate. Located in 14 acres of grounds within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of both Ashdown Forest and the South Downs National Park, we are ideal for countryside lovers. The property boasts period pieces and beautiful wallpaper taken from an 18th Century print.

Lovely features include an original fireplace, pitched roof, wooden flooring and a wood-burning stove. A kitchen comes with a range for appliances and the double bed is the perfect place to rest your head at night. A bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Walk Wood Wagon:

Our magical wagon provides lovely accommodation in the lush woods of Sussex. Surrounded by ancient bluebell woods and National Trust lands, this breathtaking setting is ideal for a romantic getaway. Rich oak cladding, floral wallpaper and the natural wood of the adjoining camp kitchen fit seamlessly into the atmospheric environment. The wagon comes with elegant interiors, running water and a comfy bed. There is an onsite flushing loo and a Swedish outdoor bath which provides the ultimate in relaxation.

Visiting Uckfield & Exploring East Sussex:

You can hike or bike across miles of forest trailers and the South Downs National Park. Lewes Castle & Barbican House Museum sits within the glorious South Downs, just a few miles from bustling Brighton. Michelham Priory House & Gardens is a beautiful place to explore and boasts gorgeous grounds to explore. A variety of superb attractions are in the local area:

South Downs Getaway is a family-run business, offering contemporary luxury accommodation in Ringmer, Lewes and offers a perfect base for visitors to explore the beautiful countryside of East Sussex.

The Escape:

The Escape is a one-bedroom cottage, with an open plan living area downstairs. Upstairs has a double bedroom and shower room, with a large walk-in shower. The cosy warmth from the log burner makes The Escape perfect for romantic breaks or relaxing after a walk in the countryside.

Visitors are welcome to explore the gardens, which have a private gate to the glorious countryside beyond. There is a patio exclusively for guest use, with each accommodation, perfect for dining al fresco, to chill out with a drink, or soaking up the sun.

Alternatively, you could wander up the road to The Cock Inn, a 16th Century coaching inn, offering a menu which combines food for a special occasion with value for money. The atmospheric bar with its inglenook fireplace is friendly and welcoming, and the large sunny garden is great at lunchtime.

The Getaway:

The Getaway is a self-contained studio apartment comprising a modern and spacious living area, a large shower room and a sunny reception area opening onto the beautifully designed garden. A lovely double bed is perfect for a restful night’s sleep.

Walkers are within a short drive of the South Downs National Park, the South Downs Way and the Ashdown Forest, making this a wonderful base for walking breaks. The South East of England offers a wide variety of attractions, with the sumptuous countryside of the South Downs and the Weald on your doorstep, and London only an hour’s train ride away. Sussex offers picturesque villages, cosmopolitan towns, a traditional seaside signature of the owner’s resorts, stately homes and beautiful gardens.

2 Kingsway Court is a 4 Star House in Seaford, East Sussex and offers stunning accommodation in a wonderful part of the country. We provide an excellent base from which to explore the coastline of East Sussex and Kent. Unique villages are nearby and the South Downs National Park.

Our wonderful self-catering accommodation has a large, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a spacious sitting room with a lovely sofa. The kitchen was refurbished in 2021 and has all the appliances expected of excellent accommodation: An electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer.

We have 2 double bedrooms, one with south-facing balcony sea views and a bathroom on the first floor. There is also a single bedroom with an additional child’s bed if needed and an additional single bed for an adult on the ground floor.

The holiday home benefits from having a charming enclosed garden, ideal for relaxing with a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening.

We provide an excellent range of facilities:

A TV with basic Sky.

Seaford is a Sussex coastal town situated at the foot of the South Downs National Park and is the perfect choice for a holiday at any time of year. This thriving town is full of quaint shops, traditional tea rooms, pubs, and restaurants. For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, walkers will delight in the stunning vistas to be marvelled at on the Sussex Downs and Seaford has two excellent golf courses to choose from, with Seaford Head being the most challenging. Take a walk over Seven Sisters and onto Beachy Head, said to be one of the most photographed and painted parts of the Sussex Coastline, with rugged exposed footpaths and amazing chalk cliffs. Sea fishing is also popular in the local area and 2 golf courses are nearby.

Located at the foot of the South Downs on the outskirts of a village, the property is close to Midhurst, Petworth, Cowdray Park, Goodwood and Chichester and about half an hour from the coast.

It is a truly peaceful and rural location, enjoying panoramic views of the rolling downland yet is close to all the attractions of Chichester and Portsmouth, and an easy train ride to London.

There is a huge network of footpaths and bridleways running from the properties and the area abounds with wildlife. We regularly see deer, foxes, badgers and buzzards from the garden and you might just meet the village peacocks.

The Victoria Inn, our village pub, serves a selection of beers and excellent food (we can vouch for this!) and is only a 3 minute walk down the hill (5 minutes back up!). A small shop and tea room, playground/tennis court, The Coach and Horses (Compton village pub) and church can be found in Compton, less than a mile up the road.
