Mill Brow Farm Cottage, Skelwith Bridge, Ambleside, Cumbria (Sleeps 1-4)

Mill Brow Cottage offers a rather special cosy two bedroomed accommodation on a small working farm. The cottage has been created from a traditional stone barn retaining the character and old beams. It is two and a half miles to Ambleside and the local pub for restaurant and bar meals is just 400 yards away. There are lowland and fell walks from the door.

It is tastefully furnished and superbly equipped and is quietly situated well away from the road, with a pleasant outlook over fields and Loughrigg Fell beyond.

The dining/kitchen is fully fitted and the cosy sitting room has an open fire. There are two pretty bedrooms - one double and one twin - with pine furniture and co-ordinated bed linen and curtains.

Ambleside is a bustling tourist resort only 2.5 miles away, where you will find many interesting tourist attractions, including the famous Bridge House, a tiny 17th Century building that spans Stock Ghyll and the Armitt Museum, as well as many gift shops, cafes and restaurants.

https://www.theholidaycottages.co.uk/Dumfries/16177

This cosy cottage for 2 has a lovely location in a beautiful part of Scotland. The Cider Tower dates back to the 18th Century & provides the perfect rustic retreat.

This fantastic holiday home has been restored to the highest of standards and was given ‘Best Restoration & Reservation Project of the Year’ by The Galloway Preservation Society. Once an old windmill used for pressing apples, it is now a beautiful Scottish retreat for those who want a break away from the stresses of day to day living.

You will find local information, maps and guides in The Tower to help you plan your stay. Or you may just want to sit outside on the patio with a glass of wine and admire the view! Outside is a private sitting area. A BBQ is available so on those days when the sun is shining you can enjoy eating outside whilst soaking up the rays.

Kirkcudbright is very popular for those who enjoy their history. It has a castle, harbour, museum and lots of local shops to be explored.
