Clock Cottage provides wonderful self-catering accommodation in Llanvetherine near Abergavenny. Set in 80 acres of grounds in Monmouthshire, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Our 18th Century cottage is nestled in the grounds of an old farmhouse but comes with its own privacy. The property is elegantly furnished and sleeps up to 2 adults, ideal for a romantic getaway. The cottage gets its name from a unique 18th Century clock on the adjoining roof.

This ground-level cottage comes with retractable doors for wheelchairs but please beware there is one small step. The spacious property has one large double bedroom with a king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto a private garden. The bathroom has a gorgeous roll-top bath, separate shower, loo and hand basin.

A well-equipped kitchen/living room has a wood stove to keep you cosy, a TV and floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto the garden. There are 3 steps up to the lawn/garden which comes with a paved sitting area with a gas BBQ and chairs. A lovely place for al fresco dining.

Guests are welcome to wander around the woodland and ponds. We also have a floodlit tennis court onsite which is available for guests.

White Castle is about 5 minutes by car (45 minutes walk) and is one of 3 castles included in the Three Castles Walk. The other two are Skenfrith and Grosmont. A 45-minute walk is the 12th-century Hunters Moon Inn. Llanthony Priory is around 30 minutes away and has a 12th Century Cistercian Abbey. A hotel and bar are in the old ruins too. Abergavenny is 5 miles away and has lots of interesting shops to see. A range of great attractions are in the local area:

Rosliston Forestry Centre Lodges, Rosliston, Swadlincote, Derbyshire (Sleeps 1-10)

Rosliston Forestry Centre offers self-catering accommodation near Swadlincote. The cottages in Derbyshire are in a popular woodland retreat. They provide a perfect base for exploring the local area. Our young woodland site has meadows, ponds, a fishing lake and play areas. This offers the opportunity to enjoy a range of pastimes and activities.

We have something for everyone. Accommodation, talks, workshops, parties, guided walks, activities, meetings and school visits are all available.

Each lodge is made from FSC-certified timber from sustainable sources. The accommodation is set in its own area of the blossoming woodland. The tastefully furnished lodges feature central heating, double glazing and flat-screen TV. They are fully equipped with a microwave, fridge, freezer, hob and oven.

The cabins are fully accessible for people with disabilities and we have a range of special equipment available for a small hire charge. This includes travel cots, high chairs, medical beds and hoists.

Cedar Lodge:

Cedar Lodge can accommodate 8 guests. An additional two guests can be catered for using the sofa bed in the lounge if required. Three bedrooms are available. 2 bedrooms have twin beds and the third bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. Up to 2 pets welcome.

Chestnut Lodge:

A specially adapted, four-bedroom lodge which can cater for up to ten people. Three of the bedrooms can be used by a guest in a wheelchair. The toilets in this lodge are assessable from both sides and there are two extra-large shower rooms. One is ideal for wheelchair users. A specially designed kitchen made for chefs in wheelchairs with adjustable worktops and special needs utensils is available. Chestnut lodge has emergency pull cords in all rooms.

Oak Lodge:

Oak Lodge has three bedrooms. Two are twin rooms, one has double bunks and there is also a bed sofa in the living area. Two bathrooms are available. One is suitable for persons with mobility needs. Oak Lodge offers self-catering accommodation for 8 people. It is well equipped and includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave and digital television. It also has an outside barbeque and garden area. Up to 2 pets welcome.

Sycamore Lodge:

Sycamore lodge has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 10 guests plus 2 on a sofa bed. It has wheelchair access and a disabled wet room and a sofa bed in the lounge.

Rowan Lodge:

Rowan Lodge is a two-bedroom holiday lodge. The beds can either be twin single or king size doubles. The specially adapted wet room with a separate toilet is wheelchair accessible. The log cabin has additional decking. Ideal for lazy days of summer relaxing and barbeques.

Birch Lodge:

The two-bedroom wooden lodge comes with disabled access. The beds can either be twin singles or king-size doubles. The specially adapted wet room with a separate toilet is wheelchair accessible. This lodge has additional decking. Ideal for lazy days of summer relaxing and barbeques.

Cardwen Farm, Pelynt, Looe, Cornwall (Sleeps 1-22)

Cardwen Farm offers superb self-catering accommodation in Pelynt near Looe. Nestled in a tranquil rural location in Cornwall, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Our four properties are set on the grounds of a private estate and share gorgeous landscaped gardens. All are beautifully furnished and feature exposed beams, giving the properties a wealth of character. The main living areas are open-plan, ideal for socialising in with friends or family. Each kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a range of appliances to suit all your needs. All the properties have a smart TV and Cardwen Farmhouse has Sky Q in the main room and Sky Q Mini in the smaller room. All the properties have superfast Wi-Fi and all the guests receive a free cream team on arrival. The properties that share a BBQ area in the orchard and more BBQs are available onsite. In all the cottages there are views over our 2 1/2 acre garden and farmland beyond.

Cardwen Farmhouse:

Our charming property comes with many original features, including vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and original stone walls. There is a large living room and a snug room. The woodburning stove will keep you warm and toasty. A modern kitchen comes with granite worktops. The four comfortable bedrooms are on the first floor and comprise one king and three double rooms. Two of the rooms have en suite facilities and a family bathroom is available.

Lily Cottage:

This lovely property has a cosy wood-burning stove in the open-plan living area. There is a live link to the TV from a barn owl box in roof. The dining area seats up to 6 people and the well-equipped kitchen boasts a range of modern appliances. Step lead down to the ground floor have 3 bedrooms: one king, one twin and one double en suite. A separate bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Erin Cottage:

Our magnificent cottage has been individually styled and offers a relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of the country. The recently renovated property comes with a new double bed in the double bed and a new L-shaped sofa in the living room. Two large bedrooms are on the lower ground floor. You can relax in the cosy open-plan living area. A lovely place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. The dining area has seating for up to four people and the kitchen is well equipped.

Hook Cottage:

This newly refurbished ground-level cottage comes with an open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The living area has a wonderful wood burner and a large flat-screen TV. The dining area has seating for up to 4 people. Down the hall, there are two large bedrooms: a king and a twin. Both rooms share a family bathroom.

Our properties are only 5 minutes from a lovely pub. We are close to Looe which is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and a has lovely quay to stroll around. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops. Banjo Pier is the perfect place to watch the returning fishing trawlers and enjoy views across the bay to Looe Island. The sandy Looe beach is great family for families because it comes with shallow swimming waters and a large expanse of sand.
