Danny Cottage offers fantastic self-catering accommodation in the charming village of Hurstpierpoint, based in a lovely area of West Sussex. We are a haven for walkers, with several woodland walks right on our doorstep.

Our luxurious property is tastefully furnished and comes with everything you need for a magical getaway. In total, the cottage sleeps up to 5 people.

Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen which a range of appliances for home cooking, including a coffee maker and dishwasher. After a walk in the countryside, unwind in the cosy lounge which comes with comfy seating and a toasty log burner for the winter months. Enjoy some delicious food around the dining table which seats 6 people.

We have 3 attractive bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin/king and 1 single. Upstairs there is a bathroom and downstairs there is a further bathroom as well.

Outside there is a large garden with a wonderful lawn and patio for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine.

Hurstpierpoint is a delightful village which has excellent restaurants and pubs. You can stroll around boutique shops and enjoy glorious countryside walks. If you would like to explore the regency city of Brighton or the historic market town of Lewes they are both close by. Glyndebourne the world-famous and world-class opera house is approximately 30 minutes drive away. A variety of great days out are in the local area:

Devil's Dyke.

Wolstonbury Hill.

Plumpton Race Course.

Nymans Gardens.

Wakehurst Place.

Danny Cottage offers self catering holiday accommodation situated in Alfriston, East Sussex. Danny Cottage is a lovely Grade II listed thatched cottage bought from the National Trust by long-time Alfriston residents.

Danny Cottage has the following amenities available:

Twin room with two single beds.
Double room with queen sized bed.
Single/twin off the double room with a single bed and pull out second bed.
Hairdryers, bed linen.

Bathrooms:
En suite with the double and single bedroom with bathtub/shower, toilet, basin
Next to the twin room with bathtub/shower, toilet, basin.
Downstairs with toilet and basin.
Pumps in showers to increase water pressure.
Towels, toilet paper, soaps.

Sitting room:
Sitting Room with dining area.
Log burner in the fireplace, one three seat and one two seat sofa, large armchair, additional chairs, TV, DVD player, dining table and chairs, desk, games, books.

Kitchen:

Seating and setting for at least 6 people. Hob with oven and grill under, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV, radio, kettle, cafetiere, mixer, picnic equipment, (if there is something you need but is not at Danny Cottage we will be happy to get it for you). A wood burning stove is available at this holiday cottage.

Maybe you also want to see some city life, well Danny Cottage is a great base for that too. You are only an hour and a half away from London by train. Brighton (30 minutes) is one of England's most cosmopolitan centres with international shopping, theatres that often have pre-London runs, concerts, opera, museums, galleries and a major annual arts festival in May each year.

It is located in stunning countryside along a quiet lane but within an easy ten minute walk to the village of Alfriston, one of the most beautiful villages in England. If you can bear to leave the cottage you will be amazed at the dozens of things there are to see and do. This self-catering cottage can accommodate up to six guests. 

You can dine inside the cottage or in the lovely setting of the garden or at one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants in the immediate area. Although a minimum of week-long stays are preferred, off-season Danny Cottage can provide a weekend escape from the hustle of city-life.
