The Old Workshop

The Old Workshop is a stunning 18th-century barn conversion, lovingly restored from its former life as the farm’s workshop—and before that, the carter's base for his horses and carts. Traditional techniques such as lime rendering and pointing have preserved its historic charm, while a handmade kitchen and oak floors emphasize its quality. Oak Tree Barn:

Packed with features reminiscent of a bygone era, on arrival the double-height ceiling with exposed beams and open plan layout never fails to impress. The restoration of this beautiful ham stone barn took care to preserve features such as the arched stonework along the south wall and maintain a sense of grandeur by keeping the original layout. Now you can relax in style with a beautifully designed interior that features an oak floor and kitchen, high-quality furniture and furnishings and modern appliances. To top it off there is a lovely secluded seating area which affords stunning country views for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

The Old Workshop:

A stunning 18th Century barn conversion that has been a labour of love to convert. Previously it was the farm workshop and prior to that used by the carter and his cart horses which gave plenty of inspiration for the conversion. The scale and grandeur of this beautiful barn is hard to appreciate until you are there looking through the huge original A-frames out to the rolling countryside beyond. We were careful to use traditional techniques such as lime rendering and pointing to maintain the style and longevity of the building. The interior has been beautifully designed and people often comment that they “want to move in”. Features like the handmade kitchen and oak floor emphasise the quality of The Old Workshop and there is even a private courtyard to enjoy.

Croft Cottage:

Our latest addition showcases our experience through both style and luxury. When you first enter the huge kitchen-diner the first thing you will be drawn to are the spectacular views to the woods and hills beyond and then the patio doors leading onto a beautiful private garden. Then it’s into the cosy lounge complete with an inglenook fireplace, ancient beams and doors and designer furniture. When it’s time for bed you are in for a real treat with a sumptuous large bedroom complete with a freestanding bath, perfect for relaxing while you admire the distant hills. If you want style, character and luxury then Croft Cottage is the ultimate couples’ retreat. (Please note this property has a steep staircase and is semi-detached).

The Hideaway:

This stunning barn dates from the 1800s and enjoys stunning south-facing views of woodland and fields, ideal for an unforgettable romantic break. The stylishly furnished open plan living space boasts original features and is brimming with lots of natural light. A contemporary wood burner will keep you warm on chilly days. Our barn is truly luxurious and reminiscent of a boutique hotel. Doors open onto a large secluded patio with seating and a firepit. You can have the perfect night’s sleep in the lavish king size bed and enjoy slipping into the gorgeous roll-top bath. There is a footpath that runs straight past the property to the award-winning gastropub or through the woodland trust to the market town of Crewkerne.

The Yurt Retreat, Fordscroft, Crewkerne, Somerset

The Yurt Retreat provides a selection of adults only, luxury glamping accommodation. This self catering accommodation is situated on an organic farm. It is tucked away just outside the town of Crewkerne, Somerset. This is the perfect base for exploring the Jurassic Coast.

Roundhouses:
There are two roundhouses available which can both sleep 2 in double bedrooms. They are beautifully furnished and feature a rainhead shower, outdoor bath and fire bowl.

Yurts:
There are 2 20ft yurts which sleep 2 people in a double bed. They sit on a coast redwood platform with private decking and unspoilt views. Facilities include a wood burner, BBQ, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and lamps. The yurts have access to The Lodge which is a communal country kitchen. It also has a living room in the roof and a bathroom upstairs.

Treehouse:

The Bird house is a stilted Treehouse in the woodland behind the Yurts. It can accommodate 2 people.

Woodland Sauna:

The Woodland Sauna compromises of a physiotherm infrared sauna which has greater health benefits than a regular sauna. Outside is a shower which is big enough for two!

Crewkerne market town is 2 miles away. It has shops, cafes and a leisure complex. Hinton St George village is just 1 mile away and offers an award winning pub The Lord Poulett Arms.

There are plenty of beautiful beaches nearby including Lyme Regis, West Bay and Burton Bradstock.
