Rectory Lodge Cottage, Cookstown, County Tyrone


Rectory Lodge is a traditional cottage sleeping up to eight guests, set within the grounds of Rectory Lodge Fishery and just a ten-minute drive from Cookstown. It provides an ideal base for a fishing holiday, a sightseeing break, or a get-together with friends and family in the area.

Accommodation

The cottage offers a flexible layout, with one double room and one twin room on the ground floor, plus an additional double and twin room upstairs. A wheelchair-accessible wet room is located on the ground floor, with a further bathroom on the first floor.

The kitchen and living area features a large hearth with an open fire and is fully equipped with essential cooking and dining facilities, making it well suited to individuals, families, groups and business travellers.

The property includes a TV, CD/radio, microwave, fridge/freezer, central heating, and underfloor heating on the ground floor. Guests can also enjoy the open fire with logs provided, along with practical touches such as an iron and ironing board, electric hairdryer, ready-made beds and a supply of towels. A highchair is available on request. Parking is provided on site, and guests can also make use of a BBQ with charcoal for outdoor dining and a hot tub.

All doors meet Tourist Board standards for wheelchair accessibility.

Fishing

Rectory Lodge Fishery welcomes everyone from experienced anglers to complete beginners, including children and families. The aim is to provide a memorable experience, whether guests are looking to develop their fishing skills or simply enjoy a peaceful and relaxing escape. Fly fishing, bait fishing and fishing lessons are available to suit all abilities.

Visiting the Area

Cookstown and the surrounding area offer a wonderful mix of history, nature and heritage. Visitors can explore the ancient Beaghmore Stone Circles, a fascinating Bronze Age site just outside the town, or visit Lissan House, known for its woodland walks and centuries-old architecture.

Outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy the scenic forest trails at Drum Manor Forest Park, while Tullyhogue Fort offers insight into the ceremonial past of the chiefs of Tyrone. Nearby, the Wellbrook Beetling Mill showcases traditional linen-making history, and Killymoon Castle sits on the edge of Cookstown overlooking the Ballinderry River. Together, these attractions make the area a rewarding destination for both heritage and outdoor experiences.

Rose Cottage, Coagh, Cookstown, Co Tyrone (Sleeps 1-4)


Rose Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in Coagh, set in the heart of mid-Ulster. We are based in a wonderful setting near Cookstown, great for an unforgettable holiday. Our cottage in Co Tyrone is perfect for visiting Lough Neagh, the Giant's Causeway, the North Coast and much more.

Accommodation
Our delightful cottage is the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The cottage is tastefully furnished and comes with a variety of appliances to suit all your needs.

The property has a well-equipped kitchen with a range of appliances and a dining table for 4 people. The open plan living area has comfy seating, a TV and a wood burner to keep you warm. Two bedrooms are available, a double and twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom.

Outside there seating, including a gorgeous carved horse seat. A lovely spot for an afternoon coffee whilst taking in your surroundings.

Bouncy castle and bike hire are available – please enquire for details.

Visiting Coagh & Exploring Co Tyrone
While staying with us you can explore the cottage forest, right on our doorstep. Nearby there is a local pub, the Beaghmore Stone Circles, Lissan House and Cluntoe WWII Airfield. You can also savour some delicious food at the Tilley Lamp Restaurant which is only a 2-minute drive away. Attractions further afield include:
