The Apartments Coniston are located in the centre of Coniston, where five contemporary, spacious, warm and cosy apartments have been created within a traditional village house. With meticulous attention to detail, homely touches and modern conveniences throughout, the apartments provide an ideal place to stay for those looking to enjoy a relaxing break in the Lake District. The clean, contemporary spaces combine comfort with a subtle touch of luxury, offering a welcoming retreat to return to after a day of exploring, walking, sightseeing or outdoor adventure.

Accommodation

All five apartments are fully centrally heated and designed to provide a comfortable self-catering stay. Each apartment includes a modern kitchen, inviting dining areas with pleasant views, fresh linen and towels, and a reliable supply of hot water. Comfortable seating areas provide a relaxing space for guests to unwind with a book or enjoy meals together. The apartments offer flexible accommodation for between one and four guests.

Wetherlam Apartment is located on the ground floor and sleeps two guests in one double bedroom. Grey Friar Apartment is situated on the first floor and also sleeps two guests. Dow Crag Apartment, also on the first floor, accommodates up to four guests with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Swirl How Apartment is on the second floor and sleeps two guests, while Coniston Old Man Apartment also sleeps four and features one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.

Visiting the Area

Coniston and the surrounding area offer a wide range of places to visit, making the apartments an excellent base for exploring the Lake District. Coniston Water is perfect for scenic walks, boat trips, kayaking or simply relaxing by the lakeside. Many visitors also enjoy climbing the Old Man of Coniston, one of the area’s most famous fells, which offers spectacular views across the lakes and mountains.

The Eyrie – Lake View Apartment:
This fabulous apartment is perfect for a memorable stay in a glorious setting. This beautifully renovated property enjoys glorious views over Coniston Water and the Lake District fells. Inside there is wonderful interiors and a fully-equipped kitchen for home cooking. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the double bed. A spacious bathroom is also available. Steps outside lead to the stunning grounds.

The Lodge:
Our charming lodge has 5 bedrooms, great for a tranquil family or group holiday in a great setting. The Grade II Listed lodge enjoys amazing views and comes with two double rooms, two twins and a single. There are also two showers, a bathroom and a separate loo. The living area also has a wood burner for those chilly days and the fully-equipped kitchen is great for home cooking months. A patio area comes with seating, great for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.

The Coachman’s Quarters:
This superb studio apartment sleeps 2 people, ideal for a romantic getaway. Based on the upper floor above the Terrae Café, the apartment enjoys amazing views across Coniston Water and the fells. Inside there is a double bed and an en suite shower room. A well-equipped kitchen/diner includes a range of appliances and outside steps lead to idyllic grounds.

Miner's Cottage is a beautiful holiday cottage that is a short walk from the centre of Coniston village in Cumbria. The cottage has breathtaking views of Coniston Water, Grizedale Forest and Yewdale, making it the perfect setting for a relaxing family holiday or a romantic break to the Lake District.

About Miner's Cottage:
On the ground floor of this wonderful holiday cottage is a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove and breathtaking views from the living room window. This leads on to a spacious kitchen/dining room which is well-equipped and includes all the utensils you may need during your stay.

A utility room with a washer & dryer and a downstairs WC with a washbasin can also be found on the ground floor.

Both bedrooms and the family bathroom are on the first floor. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and the 2nd room has twin beds. The family bathroom is spacious and has a shower over the bath.

Gas, heating, electricity, bedding and one set of towels per person are included in the booking. A high chair and travel cot are available on request. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the entire cottage.

Visiting Coniston & Exploring Cumbria:
The lake District is a stunning destination for those who are looking for peace, relaxation and tranquillity. The holiday cottage is nestled at the foot of the Coniston Old Man and is only a short walk from some lovely tea rooms, cafes and traditional Lakeland pubs. A well-equipped contemporary kitchen comes with a range of excellent appliances to suit all your needs, including a Nespresso coffee machine.

A gorgeous double bed is on the mezzanine floor which is reached by a ladder. Pretty fairy lights, linen from The White Company and a deluxe mattress complete the area’s lavish feel.

The cottages offer an ideal base to explore the nearby areas of the Lake District such as Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere and Hawkshead.

Beechgrove Cottage is a bungalow that includes a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen & 2 bedrooms which comprise a king-size double and a twin. The conservatory leads onto a patio area ideal for having a BBQ on those lazy summer evenings.

Copper View Cottage is also a bungalow and it includes a spacious living room, well-equipped kitchen and a private garden area with a BBQ. The self-catering bungalow has a twin en suite and a double.

Coniston is an ideal base for your holiday being near to the popular areas of the Lake District and also the more remote. The area has quite a history including copper mining & slate quarries all of which can still be seen on the fells which surround the village.
