While it doesn’t have a garden, it boasts a sheltered “sitooterie” adorned with clematis and honeysuckle, providing a picturesque setting for reading, barbecuing, or unwinding. Douglas Cottage is fully equipped with modern conveniences, including an electric hob, combi microwave, fridge freezer, washer, dishwasher, wood-burning stove, and over-the-bath shower. Grogport Cottage offers wonderful self-catering accommodation in the charming village of Grogport. Our enchanting cottage near Carradale is just a stone’s throw from the beach and boasts stunning views over Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran. We are perfect for the ultimate romantic getaway in Argyll.

Accommodation
Our delightful cottage has stunning views over Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran and you can regularly see seals, dolphins, otters, sea birds, porpoises, sea eagles and basking sharks. The side garden overlooks a beautiful stream. The cottage sleeps up to two people and is tastefully furnished throughout, the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our cosy Lounge (with wood burning stove) leads to a garden room with French doors which open onto a west-facing secure back garden where you can relax and chill out with a glass of wine in the evening sun. The lounge has a TV/DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric hob, oven, fridge (with a small freezer section), washing machine & microwave. French doors open out to the riverside garden.

Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the king-size bedroom. A spacious shower room comes with a WC and heated towel rail. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Visiting Grogport & Exploring Argyll
Grogport is a superb base for exploring a range of attractions and glorious landscapes around Argyll and the Kintyre peninsula. Stroll around hidden coves, deserted beaches, medieval castles and quaint fishing villages. Grogport also sits on the Kintyre Way, one of Scotland’s newest walking trails. Carradale is only 4 miles away and has a picturesque harbour, gorgeous beach, a restaurant, a cafe, a pub, a post office, a general store, a health centre and a 9-hole golf course.

You can catch ferries to Arran, Gigha, Islay and Jura, plus there is a ferry service from Tarbert to the Kyles of Bute. 18 miles away is the bustling old harbour of Tarbert and 17 miles away in Campbeltown you will discover two excellent whisky distilleries and a leisure centre with a swimming pool.

Carradale Cottages, Carradale, Campbeltown, Argyll (Sleeps 1-4)


Carradale Cottages are 3 luxury self-catering cottages. They are in a rural setting within Carradale in Argyll. The cottages are a short drive from the peaceful little town of Campbelltown.

Mhairi’s Cottage sleeps 4 in one double room and a bunk bedroom. 

Colin's Cottage and Douglas Cottage are two delightful studio cottages. Each comprises a wonderfully roomy living space, cheerfully furnished. The double bed is a snug 'box bed' arrangement. Strictly for singles or couples.

Although it hasn't got a garden, Douglas has the most sheltered little seating area in the place.

Carradale is a very special place. There are lots of things to do including walking, island hopping, golfing & many wonderful day trips. 

The local harbour is a great place to sit and potter. If you're lucky, you can pick up some prawns at the end of the day when the boats come in.

Buckhyne, Carradale, Kintyre, Argyll, Bute & The Islands


Buckhyne in Carradale offers superb self catering accommodation in a charming 19th Century property. It is in a tranquil and pretty village and enjoy glorious views of Carradale Harbour, making this the perfect holiday destination.

This wonderful holiday home sleeps up to 4 people and enjoys stunning views throughout the property. Towels and bed linen are included in the price.

The lounge and dining room both enjoy glorious views and the swivel chairs in the lounge serve to look over the view by day and turn to watch SKY TV in the evening. The lounge also includes a sofa bed which is suitable for 1 child only. A DVD player, books, board games and a radio are available in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a range of superb facilities: electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, kettle, toaster and utensils.

Outside there is a pretty enclosed garden/patio area with a bench in the garden overlooking the harbour, the perfect place for a spot of al fresco dining. It is also suitable for dogs and children.

There are many places to visit/things to do while staying here. The picturesque 9-hole golf course overlooks Port Righ Bay and has very reasonable Round and Day rates.The area is also great for walking, fishing and cycling (Bike hire a short distance away.) A beautiful sandy bay which is ideal for swimming is situated within 25 minutes’ walk or a short drive away. The nearest town is attractive Campbeltown which is approx 16 miles South by car or bus. There is a passenger ferry to Northern Ireland from Campbeltown if you fancy venturing further afield.
