Erradill Cottage, Southend, Campbeltown, Argyll


Located on the stunning Mull of Kintyre Peninsula, Erradill Cottage enjoys breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside, the village of Southend and across the sea towards Ireland. The cottage sits less than a mile from Southend, where there is a local shop, tearoom, hotel, playpark and an impressive 18-hole golf course, offering both a scenic and convenient setting.

Accommodation

Recently fully renovated, the cottage features a new kitchen, bathroom, carpets, décor and furnishings throughout. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and microwave, while a washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the garage.

The dining room provides a cosy space with a wood burner (starter logs are supplied) and a flat-screen TV. The lounge features a 40-inch Smart TV, DVD player, CD player and electric heating, along with lovely views across the Irish Sea and over Southend.

The property has three bedrooms comprising one king, one double and one single room, accommodating up to five adults. A travel cot is available if required. The bathroom includes both a walk-in shower and a bath with shower over. All electricity is included in the price.

Outside, a large enclosed garden offers a safe and spacious area for children to play, as well as a peaceful spot for adults to relax and enjoy the panoramic views.

Visiting the Area

Southend lies at the very tip of the Kintyre Peninsula, just 13 miles from Ireland, and has a rich history spanning thousands of years. The area is renowned for its dramatic coastal scenery, abundant wildlife and birdlife, a large seal colony visible from Keil Shore, Neolithic caves and beautiful sandy beaches. The famous Kintyre Way, a 100-mile walking route from Tarbert to Campbeltown, passes through the village, making it ideal for walkers. Whether guests are seeking an active outdoor adventure or a relaxing family escape, Erradill Cottage provides an excellent base.

Carradale Cottages, Carradale, Campbeltown, Argyll (Sleeps 1-4)


Carradale Cottages are 3 luxury self-catering cottages. They are in a rural setting within Carradale in Argyll. The cottages are a short drive from the peaceful little town of Campbelltown.

Mhairi’s Cottage sleeps 4 in one double room and a bunk bedroom. 

Colin's Cottage and Douglas Cottage are two delightful studio cottages. Each comprises a wonderfully roomy living space, cheerfully furnished. The double bed is a snug 'box bed' arrangement. Strictly for singles or couples.

Although it hasn't got a garden, Douglas has the most sheltered little seating area in the place.

Carradale is a very special place. There are lots of things to do including walking, island hopping, golfing & many wonderful day trips. 

The local harbour is a great place to sit and potter. If you're lucky, you can pick up some prawns at the end of the day when the boats come in.

There are plenty of attractions and places of interest in the surrounding area. You can easily catch a ferry to Islay, Arran, Gigha and Jura, all of these ferries run regularly throughout the year and are only a short drive away.

The Mull of Kintyre is very picturesque and offers some great photo opportunities, such as the lighthouse, where its rocky shores play host to colonies of grey and common seals.
