Tyn Y Fron Country House & Cottage, Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, Snowdonia National Park

Tyn Y Fron is a charming and immaculately maintained country house and cottage set within approximately one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens on the edge of Betws-y-Coed, one of the main villages within Snowdonia National Park. Elevated above the village, the property enjoys breathtaking views across the Conwy Valley and surrounding countryside.

Originally built in 1867, the detached stone house and accompanying cottage, both with traditional slate roofs, have been carefully restored to a high standard while retaining their classic country house character. The main house offers six bedrooms accommodating up to twelve guests, while the separate two-bedroom cottage sleeps four, making it ideal for larger groups or extended families.

Set in a peaceful and sunny position, the property provides a calm and relaxing retreat, yet remains conveniently close to the village centre, which can be reached via a scenic footpath crossing a historic suspension bridge over the Afon Conwy.

The Country House

The Country House is a beautifully presented Victorian property designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. It features six individually styled bedrooms, five of which have en-suite facilities.

Upstairs, there is a spacious lounge, a bathroom with an electric shower over the bath, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Visiting the Area

A seven-minute walk along a public footpath, crossing the suspension bridge, leads into the heart of Betws-y-Coed, where guests will find a variety of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. The cottage also benefits from a private car park with two spaces available.
