6 Northgate Vennel is a spacious and welcoming self-catering holiday apartment, quietly situated within the conservation area in the centre of Peebles. Set in a sunny, south-facing position, the apartment enjoys pleasant views towards the hills to the south of the town and is easily accessible by both car and public transport.
Accommodation
The apartment is comfortably furnished and thoughtfully equipped, offering a bright and airy interior with central heating throughout. An attractive, elongated entrance hall leads into a generous sitting and dining room, providing a relaxing space complete with a feature fireplace, TV, DVD player and free Wi-Fi.
A separate kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering stay, including a cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and iron, along with ample storage space. The large bedroom features a king-size bed, a hairdryer and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. A shower room completes the accommodation.
Bed linen and towels are provided, and additional amenities such as a cot for infants and a comfortable folding bed are also available.
Outside, guests benefit from ample free parking, as well as a secure storage cupboard beneath the front steps, ideal for bicycles, walking gear or other outdoor equipment.
Visiting the Area
The apartment is ideally located for exploring the charming town of Peebles. The High Street, the banks of the River Tweed, local parks and a variety of shops and cafés are all just a short three-minute riverside walk away.
From the doorstep, guests can enjoy gentle walks up Venlaw Hill, offering lovely views over the town, or travel slightly further to Glentress Forest, renowned for its walking routes and world-class mountain biking trails. Nearby attractions such as Kailzie Gardens and Neidpath Castle provide beautiful scenery and a glimpse into the area’s rich history.
With excellent transport links, including a bus stop just a couple of minutes’ walk away, the apartment also offers easy access to the wider Scottish Borders and the city of Edinburgh.
