There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Bed Linen is provided. The living area is open plan and there are 3 sofas. Entertainment is provided by a 42" LCD / Plasma TV and DVD player. Freeview channels are available. The kitchen has integrated appliances which include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and a comprehensive range of cutlery, crockery and utensils. Apple Tree Cottage is a Grade II listed barn that has been sympathetically converted and restored to a very high standard to provide extremely comfortable self-catering accommodation. All the stone, bricks, roof tiles and exposed beams and trusses used came from the original building itself to preserve the character of the cottage.

Inside the living area is open plan to the ceiling showing the original roof trusses and beams. The kitchen is fully fitted and has all modern conveniences including dishwasher, oven with extractor fan, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine (tumble drying facilities available), and has a reclaimed quarry tiled floor.

The living/dining area is fully carpeted and centrally heated and also has a small real flame electric stove to give the appearance of a real fire. The window seat looks out over rolling farmland to the south, and has stunning views. For guests entertainment there is a widescreen digital TV, video, DVD player, books and games to suit all ages.

There are 2 bedrooms, a downstairs double, and a twin room upstairs, which is galleried over the living area, both of which have radio alarms and hairdryers. The bathroom is downstairs and has both bath and shower facilities. The sofa converts into a large double bed, giving comfortable self catering accommodation for up to 6 people.

Outside there is an enclosed patio area to the rear, with outdoor furniture, barbeque and outdoor drying facilities. To the front the garden has a lawn, and both sides have wonderful views of the Yorkshire Wolds and the farm.

Apple Tree Cottage is set in beautiful, peaceful countryside, next door to Howsham Wood, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and part of the Howardian Hills AONB. The wood is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including bluebells and primroses in the spring, and a growing community of deer.

Located a few miles from the A64 main Leeds/York/Scarborough road, it is centrally located for many local tourist attractions, including Castle Howard, York, the East Coast, North York Moors and many others, making Apple Tree Cottage the ideal place to enjoy the delights of Yorkshire.

Rosemary Barn is an open plan lounge and kitchen. One double bedroom and one Twin. A family bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and basin. Rosemary also has a fixed stair gate at the top of the stairs. The cottage comes equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD Radio and has a washing machine.

All cottages have use of a paddock for children to play in and there is a rose garden for guests to enjoy.

The nearby Widemouth beach, is a popular surfing location on the North Cornish coast, and the lively seaside resort of Bude a short drive away. As well as some of the best surfing locations in the U.K., there are beaches to suit all tastes, from stretches of sand to isolated rocky coves. R.N.L.I. lifeguards are on duty in the summer months. Summerleaze beach also has a large sea pool, safe, and ideal for youngsters. For sports enthusiasts, there are lots of outdoor activities available in the local area. For the less active, Bude canal and its tow-path offers an opportunity for a peaceful stroll, popular with bird watchers and nature lovers. Sea fishing from the local beaches and rocks around Bude and Widemouth is a popular pastime, and catches of Bass, Codling, flatfish, mackerel, whiting and dogfish are common.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor and comprises of a double bedroom (wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets). Beds are made up prior to arrival. En-suite shower room with electric shower. The lounge with dining area is a spacious room with a three-seater sofa and single armchair. Dining table and chairs. Lower Tresmorn Cottages are in a beautiful part of Cornwall and offer family-friendly accommodation that is perfectly located for exploring this stunning part of England. Come and stay in one of our lovely self catering holiday cottages and discover the magnificent North Cornish Coast at Crackington Haven.

Choose one of their three lovely cottages which are all situated within walking distance of the pretty cove at Crackington. Mealhouse and Lower Tresmorn Cottage are located on their working farm and Pen Cliff is a delightful chalet overlooking the beach.

Lower Tresmorn Cottage sleeps 4: The cottage is a pretty traditional white-washed farm cottage full of character with an enclosed south-facing garden with breath-taking views over the fields and woods to the sea. The coast path is just a 5-minute walk down the lane. The cottage dates back to medieval times with beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning fire offering a cosy atmosphere in cooler weather. There is a newly-fitted, fully-equipped kitchen, separate sitting-room and dining-room downstairs and double and twin-bedded rooms and bathroom upstairs.

Mealhouse sleeps 6-9: Mealhouse is a very spacious and beautifully converted barn situated in the farm hamlet of Hallagather. Furnished in contemporary style with light, airy rooms and surrounded by large gardens with a lovely BBQ for those balmy summer evenings.

Pen Cliff sleeps 2-4: Hidden away and accessed from the coast path just a few metres from the beach, Pen Cliff enjoys an enviable location with fantastic views of the coast from the living room and the sheltered, enclosed patio garden. The accommodation is compact but extremely comfortable with comfortable leather sofas, flat-screen TV and DVD, a new fitted kitchen and great shower wet room. There are two bedrooms, one with king-size bed and the second with bunk beds. Pen Cliff has everything and is perfect for couples and small families.

Crackington Haven is approximately half-way between the seaside town at Bude with sandy surfing beaches and the picturesque fishing village of Boscastle. Much of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and Crackington Haven is situated within an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

Clachtoll Cottage, Lochinver, Assynt, Sutherland (Sleeps 1-6)


Clachtoll Cottage is situated within yards of the sea, at a most spectacular location on the north shore of Clachtoll Bay. The site is known as Am Port Creadhach, [Clay Port] and has been an area of settlement for over 2000 years. A Pictish broch stands on the coast to the north of the house.

The cottage is in the shelter of a low hill and faces south. The building was constructed in 2003. It is faced in white Skye marble with feature wooden shutters. The cottage consists of a lounge/dining area, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, plus 2 z beds, fully equipped kitchen & toilet/shower room.

A paved patio in front of the house provides an outdoor extension to the lounge and a superb vantage point to enjoy the scenery. Several times during the year it is possible to see whale, dolphin and porpoise in the waters just off-shore.

During the summer months the owner is available, to take interested guests for boat trips down the coast to Lochinver, or guided walks in the Assynt area. The coastline is spectacular and endlessly photogenic. The holiday cottage is situated 200 yards from the sandy beach at Clachtoll. The clear turquoise waters of the bay, offer safe swimming.
