This traditional, stone-built 18th-century barn conversion has been beautifully refurbished to provide high-quality accommodation. The property enjoys breathtaking views across the Cartmel Valley, Morecambe Bay and out to sea.
A spacious sitting room offers an ideal space for socialising and relaxing, featuring exposed oak beams, a roaring log fire and a Samsung flat-screen LCD Smart TV. Three windows allow guests to take in the glorious surrounding views. The attractive kitchen, crafted by local craftsmen in a shaker style with oak beams, is well equipped with a large range cooker, four gas burners, a wok burner, two fridges, a freezer and a large microwave. A generous dining room includes a table seating up to eight people.
There are four double bedrooms. The two upstairs bedrooms open onto a veranda and both feature king-sized beds. The largest bedroom has two French doors leading onto a sunny veranda. Several beautifully appointed bathrooms are available, with some bedrooms benefiting from en suite facilities.
A ground-floor games room provides additional entertainment, complete with a large flat-screen TV, a Wii games console with a selection of games and an electric organ, making it an excellent space for children to unwind.
Outside, there are two large garden areas. A spacious lawn can be accessed from the bedrooms, veranda and sitting room. The enclosed garden enjoys stunning countryside views and offers ample seating along with a BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining. A large summer house is also available, furnished with cushioned chairs, a wine cooler/fridge, heating, lighting and electricity.

Cartmel is one of the Lake District’s most historic and picturesque villages, home to a selection of restaurants, pubs and cafés set against beautiful scenery. Nearby, Holker Hall is surrounded by 25 acres of award-winning gardens. Other attractions in the area include Cartmel Priory, Humphrey Head, the Ornamental Gardens, Arnside Tower and Arnside Knott.
