Dove House & Swallows are 2 award-winning self-catering houses just outside of Dorchester. Our cottages are nestled in 1000 acres of Dorset farmland. Just 5 miles from Dorchester and 10 from Weymouth, we are perfect for a family holiday, quiet break or special celebration.
Dove House sleeps up to 13 people in 7 en suite bedrooms. The interior is light, spacious and furnished to a high standard.
Swallows is a warm, cosy and comfortable 2 bedroom en suite cottage. It is ideally suited for smaller families or couples. As the accommodation is all on one level, it is also popular with visitors with limited mobility.
We are close to the stunning Jurassic Coastline. You can visit Dancing Ledge near Studland or enjoy the stunning sights of Durdle Door near Lulworth Cove. The lovely old Harbour at Weymouth, The Flete and Chesil Beach and Golden Cap at Chideock are all worth visiting.
You can enjoy stunning coastal walks covering nearly all these areas and savour glorious views. All offer an exhilarating experience at different times of the year. The walking and cycling trails are extensive both from Dove House and nearby locations. We can direct you to some great circular walks to justify that big supper in the evening! There are more gardens, National Trust properties, houses and locations than you could ever fit in a one week visit.
