It is set within spacious private woodlands and garden. A fifteen minute walk takes you into the heart of the forest and down towards the River Wye. It is peaceful and relaxing.
The cottage has a beamed lounge with log burner. There is free WiFi available and a flat screen Smart TV. A stable door leads to a fully equipped modern kitchen/diner. Upstairs there is a double bedroom (with TV) and en suite and a twin bedded room with master bathroom.
Outside is a dining area with extra seating overlooking the garden with a bespoke Wendy House for young children.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was filmed here in the magical Scowles woods and close by Harry Potter, Merlin and Doctor Who were partly shot in nearby unique woodland settings.
A 20 minute walk away is the ancient village of Newland with its imposing 'Cathedral of the Forest' and a real ale 'foodie' pub. In another direction lies the market town of Coleford, with bakery, butchers, supermarkets, gift shops, bookshop and a cinema.
