Inverness the ‘Capital of the Scottish Highlands’, is just 26 miles away. From the cottages, there’s a footpath to Boat of Garten where all manner of interesting things await.
Boat of Garten is situated in the Cairngorms National Park, its unique range of environments is the home to the largest area of arctic mountain landscape in the UK. Abundant wildlife, plants, magnificent scenery and many sporting/leisure activities await your attention.
Play golf at Boat of Garten, Nethy Bridge, Carrbridge, Grantown on Spey and Aviemore. Or, fish the mighty River Spey; it’s up to you.
Unique bird watching opportunities abound; including the famous Ospreys at Loch Garten, see if you can spot a Capercaillie – just bring the binoculars.
There are hundreds of woods and dramatic hillsides to walk, climb or ski. Cycle on tracks, hillsides and quiet roads or travel on the famous Strathspey Steam railway. Ptarmigan and Osprey Cottages are available for holidays on a weekly basis, usually Saturday to Saturday. No more than 6 people can use Ptarmigan and 10 can use Osprey.
The price of the cottages includes electricity, heating oil and linen.
We have a spacious ground floor wet room bathroom, excellent facilities for wheel chair users.
There are 2 parking spaces allocated to each cottage with room for a 3rd car at Osprey.
