Little Parrock is only 10-15 minutes walk from the bustling centre of Grasmere in the heart of the Lake District.
The house itself offers splendid living for up to 10 people - ideal for a large family, two families sharing or a get together of friends. The large garden behind Little Parrock is perfect for pets, children or late-night barbeques.
Built-in Victorian times, Little Parrock has been extensively refurbished to provide accommodation of a first-class standard. Spacious, it is ideal for large family gatherings or for parties of walkers and friends.
The sitting room is to the left of the grand hall and offers plenty of seating space to relax and enjoy. Across the hall is the kitchen/diner which is the old kitchen, breakfast and dining room knocked into one large family-friendly space.
Also on the ground floor are an entrance boot-room with washbasin, a covered entrance to the kitchen and a shower room with toilet and basin.
Although there is central heating throughout, a real log fire in the Dining Room and open fire in the Sitting Room provides a cheerful atmosphere with added warmth on cold winter evenings. The sitting room also has TV, video, a DVD player and Sky TV. The dining room encourages convivial mealtimes with its round dining table which easily seats ten.
A large lawn area is flanked by a herbaceous border. There is also a summerhouse for the children to play in.
Grasmere is probably one of the Lake District's most popular villages thanks to William Wordsworth who lived here at the turn of the 19th Century. The village itself has plenty of shops to provide for your everyday need, and it is well known for its gingerbread and fine food. There are many places in and around Grasmere where you can enjoy a meal out or simply sup a leisurely pint after a long day's walking, biking or simply relaxing. Around Grasmere lake there are plenty of gentle walks for those preferring the lower ground, or why not take a rowing boat out to visit the island. For a greater challenge, Little Parrock is centrally situated for taking on the craggy peaks of Scafell, Helvellyn, Skiddaw and the Langdale Pikes.
The honeypot towns of Ambleside, Keswick, Hawkshead, Coniston, Bowness and Windermere are within easy reach.
