Crab Wood Cottages offers luxurious self-catering accommodation on the edge of Sparsholt. Nestled in a glorious rural location near Winchester, we are perfect for a tranquil holiday. We are close to a range of wonderful attractions in Hampshire.

The Old Tractor Barn:

Our beautifully converted barn is light, airy and enjoys stunning views of rolling countryside. The property sleeps up to 5 people, perfect for a special family holiday.

A well-equipped kitchen comes with a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, oven/grill/hob and tumble dryer. You can unwind in the living area which comes with comfy seating, a TV and DVD player. Outside there is a lovely enclosed garden with patio furniture and a BBQ. The ideal place for a spot of al fresco dining. Bedrooms consist of a double, twin and single room. On the ground floor there is a WC and a shower.

The Hayloft:

Our charming property sleeps up to 2 people, ideal for a romantic getaway. This lovingly converted property boasts beautiful countryside views.

Upstairs there is a sitting area, pool/snooker table and a bedroom area with modern en suite facilities. A gorgeous veranda and balcony allow you to make the most of the spectacular views. On the ground floor there a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/small freezer, toaster, oven/grill/hob. You can unwind in the living area which comes with a TV and DVD player.

You can visit a variety of superb attractions in the local area. Marwell Zoo is a 140 acre zoo at Owslebury which is home to over 1200 animals. Finkley Down Farm is home to lots of animals and numerous play areas for children. Mottisfont Abbey is a historical priory which has a beautiful garden and country estate. Lots of excellent attractions are in the local area:

The Old Dairy, Sparsholt, Winchester, Hampshire

The Old Dairy is a 4 star holiday cottage just a 10 minute drive from Winchester and you can enjoy the fabulous views across to the Isle of Wight and the Solent. For keen walkers, the cottage is close to the South Downs Way, Wayfarers' Walk and the Clarendon Way. Our holiday home is tucked away in the Hampshire countryside on the edge of the South Downs on a small family farm by Sparsholt.

The holiday cottage is all on ground floor and consists of a lounge/dining room/kitchen with tiled floor, 3 bedrooms - one 5ft double with en suite bathroom with shower over bath, toilet & basin, one twin, one bunk and a shower room with toilet and basin. We have ensured that the holiday cottage is well equipped throughout and includes everything you may need during your stay.

In the fully enclosed garden, there is a BBQ and garden furniture. There is parking for 2 cars alongside the cottage. Our holiday cottage has been designed for and is fully accessible by disabled persons.

Our holiday cottage is placed in a stunning location with beautiful views from the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight and westward to the New Forest. On the working farm in spring you might see lambs born, cows calving or walk through the beautiful bluebells of Crabwood a mere 5 minutes away. During the summer, swallows hatch in the farm buildings whilst the buzzards often wheel overhead. As summer turns to autumn the local woods surrounding the farm turn their leaves the most wonderful shades of red and gold. In its turn, winter has its own treasures, warming walks through the woods and along the Clarendon Way returning to the welcoming warmth of The Old Dairy.
