Oban Holiday Park offers charming self catering accommodation in Oban, nestled with a glorious area Gallanchmore. Our park in Argyll is surrounded by glorious scenery, the perfect place to escape from the pressure of modern life.

Accommodation

We have a range of traditional log cabins or luxurious hot tub lodges to stay, all perfect for a relaxing getaway. We also have a range of quirky pods to choose from as well, great for the ultimate countryside break.

Lodges

We have 7 beautifully furnished lodge types to choose from, all furnished to a high standard to suit all your needs. Our lodges can sleep 2, 4 or 6 guests, great for a romantic getaway or family holiday.

All the bedrooms come with comfy beds for a restful night’s sleep, including some with en suite facilities. Bedrooms consist of a king, double or twin rooms. All the lodges come with a well-equipped kitchen with a range of appliances for home cooking. Unwind in the cosy living area that come with a TV with Freeview, DVD player and sound bar.

Outside there is furniture, ideal for a coffee in the morning sun. Some lodges also come with luxurious hot tubs to soak yourself in.

Pods

We have 3 types of pods to choose from. Our Oban Camping Pod sleeps 2 people and is the perfect alternative to the traditional camping experience. They come with a compact kitchenette, mattresses, folding table and heating.

You can stay in our Oban Escape Hot tub Pod that sleeps 4 in a double bed and mezzanine level, plus a double sofa bed in the sitting/dining area. A separate shower room comes with a WC and the kitchen is fully equipped. Outside there is decking with outdoor furniture and you can relax in the hot tub. We also the stylish Oban Escape Pod that has can sleep put o 6 people with use of a double sofa bed but this pod does not have a hot tub.

Visiting Oban & Exploring Argyll

You can visit lots of great attractions whilst staying with us. Oban has an 18-hole golf course cinema, bars, restaurants and shopping. You can stroll along the pier while watching the yachts coming in. You can also visit the Western Isles and take a ferry from Kerrera to the islands of Lismore, Mull, Iona and Coll. Excellent attractions to visit include:

Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds.

McCaig's Tower & Battery Hill.

Oban War & Peace Museum.

Dovestone Holiday Park is in an idyllic location, at the border of the Peak District National Park and just 4 miles from the Pennine Way. Local amenities are available within Greenfield Village and within comfortable driving distance, you can reach Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester and Huddersfield.

Our holiday park has lodges and glamping pods available, providing a place where couples, friends and families can rest, relax and recuperate, away from the hustle and bustle of modern-day living.

Lodges:

Each lodge has a luxury feel and have been stylishly furnished throughout. They can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms, which includes a master bedroom with en suite facilities and a further twin room. Other amenities include:

Fully equipped kitchen with all the conveniences of a home.

A focal point, log effect fire.

A flat-screen TV with DVD player.

To the outside of your cabin, you will find a double aspect verandah with outdoor furniture for alfresco dining and a private outdoor hot tub for the ultimate relaxation experience. Relax in the hot water and let the powerful jets massage away your stress. Hot tubs are discretely positioned on the deck outside your lodge for your exclusive use.

Our aim is for guests to feel right at home from the moment they arrive, allowing you to enjoy luxurious and well-appointed accommodation amongst beautiful surroundings. Your cabin comes complete with all you need for your break - toaster, cutlery, pots and pans, bedding & towels are all provided, just bring along any consumables you want during your stay and enjoy the luxury of the Dovestone Park experience.

Glamping Pods:

This collection of beautifully built pods, offers comfortable and cosy glamping accommodation suitable for couples or a family. They include:

Bunk beds with full size lower bunk and reduced length top bunk.

Kitchenette with kettle, microwave, sink and 2 hotplates.

Small dining table with 4 chairs.

Our glamping pods are a luxurious camping style experience, with none of the hassle of putting up a tent. You will need to bring cutlery, plates, pans, food, bed linen/sleeping bags and toiletries etc.

Amongst the peace and tranquillity of the Peak District National park, it is easy to forget that Dovestone Lodges are less than 13 miles away from the centre of Manchester. Take the train from the local village station and in 30 minutes you will be in the heart of this vibrant city with all its cultural, sporting, shopping and dining experiences at your convenience.

With the Peak District National Park on our doorstep, you will not be short of walking opportunities. Explore the spectacular landscape, Here Reservoirs, moors, gritstone edges and miles of hiking trails. You will not be lacking options for great days out and just one example is the Heights of Abraham in Matlock where you will find attractions from cable cars to the various rides in the Hilltop Park.

Waterfoot Park, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Cumbria (Sleeps 1-8)

Waterfoot Park offers self-catering accommodation at Pooley Bridge in the Lake District National Park. We are located on the Ullswater Way footpath which connects by cruise, foot and bus to the four main pier stops around Ullswater.

We have five cottages, four self-catering Hive cabins, and four Glamping Pods available for weekly and short lets. Four of the cottages are dog friendly, as well as two Hives and two Glamping Pods. Next to the cottages, Hives and Glamping Pods is the Mansion House Bar with a large selection of drinks including local ales. 

Ullswater, often compared to the likes of Lake Lucerne and referred to as England’s most beautiful lake. The lake runs a serpentine course in three reaches with Helvellyn crowning the plateau at the head of the lake; at 3117 ft it is England’s third-highest mountain. Penrith is the local market town and offers all weather facilities with an indoor swimming pool with a climbing wall, a golf course and excellent shopping, whether it’s for local produce or your high street names.
