Nestled in a beautiful and secluded location on the edge of Shanklin Old Village on the Isle of Wight, Chestnut Mews offers three charming self-catering cottages—Honeysuckle, Clematis, and Jasmine. Ideal for families, these cottages accommodate up to six guests and are just a ten-minute stroll from Shanklin’s award-winning beaches.
Each cottage is within a five-minute walk to local amenities and sits close to scenic footpaths and rolling countryside. The location is perfect for families looking to enjoy a peaceful break with the convenience of nearby attractions. A large shared garden with a children’s play area and two wooden playhouses is available for guests staying at Honeysuckle and Jasmine Cottages, while Clematis Cottage boasts a private garden with ‘Little Tikes’ play equipment and a wooden playhouse.
The cottages are designed with comfort and practicality in mind. On the ground floor, guests will find an open-plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge, as well as a downstairs toilet. French doors open from the lounge onto an enclosed decked patio complete with outdoor furniture—ideal for al fresco dining or relaxing in the sun.
Upstairs, each cottage features three bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, en-suite walk-in shower, and French doors leading to a private balcony overlooking the garden; a twin room; and a third bedroom that can be set up as either a twin or single with a travel cot. There is also a family bathroom with a full-sized bath and overhead shower.
All cottages share the same layout and are similarly furnished. They are well-equipped for families, with Kiddy Guard stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, as well as highchairs, bed guards, and travel cots provided at no extra cost.
