Dittisham Hideaway offers luxurious accommodation on the outskirts of Dittisham. We are nestled in a glorious Devonshire countryside setting, offering shepherd lodges, treehouses and an American Airstream. Only a mile away is the River Dart and you can visit the beautiful coastal town of Dartmouth.

Shepherd Lodges

We have 5 hand-crafted shepherd lodges to choose from, created by West Country Artisans. The lodges are based in the old meadow of wildflowers and have stylish interiors including bespoke fittings, made-to-measure furnishings and designer fabrics.

All the lodges include a fully equipped kitchen, a foldaway breakfast bar and a bathroom with a double walk-in power shower. The lodges sleep 2 adults in 1 king bed. A mini shepherd's lodge with 2 sets of bunk beds adjoins one of one the lodges, to provide accommodation for 2 adults and up to 4 children.

Outside each lodge, there is a terrace area with loungers, an outdoor dining area, BBQ and a hammock. You can unwind in the traditional wood-fired outdoor cedar hot tub.

American Airstream

Our stylishly renovated 1956 Vintage American Airstream is set in a private woodland setting and enjoys views of the rolling hills. The airstream offers a retro style and includes a range of facilities including Wi-Fi, a combination oven, an induction hob, fridge, ice box, dishwasher, power shower, and under-floor heating and air conditioning, smart TV and sound system.

The Airstream sleeps 2 in total and outside we have a decking area with a dining table and chairs, offering a great spot for a coffee in the morning. You can relax in the Oak Japanese wood-fired spa bath. There are sun loungers, a double hammock, outdoor chess and table football.

Treehouses – Woodpecker, Buzzard, Pheasant and Owl

We offer accommodation in 4 treehouses, all based in a countryside location. On arrival, we offer a hamper, offering treats, a continental breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine. The treehouses are finished to a high standard and sleeps 2 adults and 3 children in a king-size double and a triple bunk bed in a separate room. The bedrooms come with Egyptian cotton bed linen and en suite facilities.

All the treehouses include underfloor heating, a wood burner and a fully-equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee machine. Outside we have an outdoor chess set, outdoor table football, sun loungers, BBQ with a dining area and a hammock. You can soak your troubles away in the hot tub.

We are in a brilliant location for discovering all that the local area has to offer. There are lots of cycling and walking routes, including a footpath alongside the River Dart. You can visit the town of Dartmouth, home to restaurants, shops, art galleries and much more.

Fingals provides luxury self-catering accommodation. They are located in a hidden valley just outside the beautiful Devonshire village of Dittisham. This is a stunning unspoilt village in the Dart Valley. The perfect base after a busy day exploring Devon.

The Barn:

This traditional green-oak framed barn can accommodate 6 people in a master en suite, double and small twin. It has a rustic feel with plenty of space and mod cons including a grand piano. outside is an enclosed garden.

The Folly:

This beach style house is perfect for romantic break sleeping 2 people. It sits in the middle of the old garden walls. There are also two delightful balconies, one overlooking the tennis court and the other over the wilderness.

Wisteria Suite:

This is a first floor apartment that can accommodate 4. It can be linked with the Barn to accommodate larger groups. Outside there is a covered balcony covered with wisteria.

Lower Mill House:

This is an open plan space filled with original features. It can sleep 6 people in double and triple bedrooms.

Barberry Brook:

This unique, quirky property is an eco-retreat for 2. In the bedroom, you will find a bath that overlooks the stream. Perfect for a romantic escape.

Upper Mill House:

Available from 2023 this homely property can accommodate 6 in 3 spacious bedrooms. The sitting room has valley views and outside is a patio area with seating & a BBQ.

The Manor Farmhouse:

Also available in 2023 is this wonderful Grade II listed farmhouse that can accommodate 12. Ideal for groups or large families.

Ollie's Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Dittisham on the banks of the River Dart. It's close to the historic town of Dartmouth and has easy road access to both Exeter and Plymouth. The cottage is arranged over 3 floors with lovely river views and sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children.

This lovely cottage is perfect for a family holiday. The cottage has an open plan kitchen/dining area which is well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining table can seat up to 6 and there is also a CD player and radio in this room. 

Upstairs there is a comfortable living room which provides wonderful river views. It comes with an open fire, TV, DVD player and two single divan beds. 

Stairs to the second floor lead to a large attractive double bedroom with a dramatic wall hanging over the bed, and a small children's bunk bedroom with a roof window. A travel cot is also available. 

Outside there is a small patio area which is enclosed and provides seating.

Dittisham is an ideal base for exploring both the Devon coast and Dartmoor. The village has 2 pubs, a village shop and a cafe famous for its river views. Children will love crabbing off the pontoon, whilst mum and dad enjoy a glass of wine.

You can also enjoy outdoor activities and a range of attractions, such as Living Coasts, the Steam Railway, Greenway House & Woodland Family Theme Park to name just a few.
