The Old Carthouse is part of Gurney Manor Mill B&B which was part of the Grade 1 listed Gurney Manor owned by LandmarkTrust. We provide cosy accommodation for up to 6 people and are ideally located for exploring Somerset.
Our aim has been to provide guests with luxurious accommodation that has a rustic feel with modern amenities.
The village of Cannington lies between the Quantock Hills and the sea, some 3 miles from Bridgwater and the M5 Motorway. To the West lies Exmoor and the North Devon coast, and to the East are the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury and Wells.
Cannington has 5 pubs, 3 of which offer food and 1 is an Indian restaurant. There is also a spar / post office, butchers, bakers and farm food shop with cafe. The village has a nine hole golf course and an all weather Floodlit Driving Range. There is a walled Heritage garden, with unusual plants for sale along with a tea room.
