Direen Cottage is a traditional stone cottage situated approximately 1 mile east of the village of Cloghane on the Dingle Peninsula in West Kerry. It is overlooked by the Mount Brandon range of mountains and the magnificent sandy beach of Fermoyle Strand is 1/2 mile from the cottage. This Atlantic Beach is world-famous for both surfing and bass fishing and extends for 7 miles to the Maharees.

About Direen Cottage:

The house sleeps seven. Mudroom for walkers, surfers and anglers. Extra freezer (chest) for Anglers. Kitchen fully fitted with a microwave, electric cooker, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. This is a cosy cottage for winter rental as it has oil central heating throughout, 2 open fires and the windows are double-glazed. The field in front of the cottage gives plenty of safe playing space.

Sleeps 7 plus a cot. 1 double,1 twin and a 3 single bedded room. Oil central heating and 2 open fires. Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Sitting room with Sky TV and dining room, both with open fires. Toilet and shower room on the ground floor. Bathroom/shower and toilet upstairs. Ground floor adapted for wheelchair access. Adjoining outhouse with drying facilities, chest freezer and ample storage for fishing gear, bicycles and surfing equipment.

Children welcome with plenty of playing space.

Safe sandy beaches for swimming, surfing and water sports.

Sea Angling in Brandon Bay. Salmon and Trout fishing in nearby rivers and lakes.

Dingle 20 minutes via scenic Conor Pass.

Killarney 1 hr 10 minutes.

Kerry County Airport only 55 minutes away.

Saleen is only 1/2 mile from the cottage and is a tidal estuary surrounded by sandy beaches.

Hillside Cottage is over a hundred years old and today it offers well-equipped, self-catering accommodation in a remote setting overlooking Brandon Bay. The holiday cottage is ideally located for a relaxing holiday yet, is close to the Co Kerry town of Tralee.

The holiday cottage can accommodate 5 people in a double en suite, twin and single bedroom.
