Friends Farm Shepherd Huts Holidays in Alburgh provides charming self catering accommodation, located in a picturesque countryside setting. Our two huts in Norfolk are perfect for a romantic getaway in a wonderful setting.

Accommodation

We have two luxurious shepherd huts to choose from, nestled on a delightful working smallholding in gorgeous countryside. Shepherds View & Shepherds Delight are fully equipped with a range of facilities, perfect for a tranquil escape to the country. We provide a welcome pack of home-produced eggs, bacon and prize-winning sausages in the fridge, ready for your arrival.

Our two huts are in a gated paddock and boast stunning countryside views of the fields with sheep, horses, pigs and chickens. Unwind on the decking with a glass of wine whilst enjoying the magical wildlife, including deer, hares and barn owls, to buzzards, pheasants and partridge.

Both of our huts are handmade and blend practicality with comfort. Each includes a fully fitted bespoke kitchen equipped with hob, microwave/combi oven, fridge and dishwasher. Stay toasty in front of the log burner on a chilly day. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the pull-down double bed. An en suite toilet and bathroom are available.

Outside each hut is a decking area with a bistro table and chairs for al fresco dining whilst admiring the view. A BBQ is available on request.

Onsite we have a lovely farm shop and cafe to enjoy.

Visiting Alburgh & Exploring Norfolk

We are in a brilliant position for exploring the local area. Based on the edge of the Waveney Valley, the village of Alburgh is great for walkers and cyclists looking to escape the pressures of modern life. The small towns of Harleston and Bungay are nearby, home to dependent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. You can also visit Diss, Beccles (the start of the Norfolk Broads), Halesworth, Framlingham and the county town of Norwich. Great attractions to visit whilst staying with us include:

Dimpleknowe Cottage offers delightful self catering accommodation in Lilliesleaf. We are nestled in a quiet country rural estate that boasts its own informal golf course, ideal for a memorable golfing holiday in the Scottish Borders. You can visit Melrose and a range of attractions in the local area whilst staying with us.

Accommodation

Our cosy bungalow is ideal for a relaxing rural getaway in a scenic location. The property is tastefully furnished and sleeps up to 5 people.

Inside we have a comfortable sitting room with an open fire, 42" flatscreen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. You can enjoy the views from the lounge and also watch the birds collect food from the bird table. The well-equipped kitchen/dining area has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a large dining table with seating for five people.

There are three bedrooms - a double, a twin room with en suite bathroom and a single bedroom. We can also provide a travel cot if required. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and grab rails are fitted as well. Bed linen is provided, but please bring your own bedding for the cot.

Outside there is parking for two or three cars and the south-facing garden has garden furniture including sun loungers. The adjacent golf course makes an excellent place for exercising the dogs.

Lilliesleaf Golf Course offers a fun course for the less discerning golfer. Dress is informal and dogs & children are welcome. There are 11 challenging holes and the course measures 2563 yards. There is plenty to see and do in the area, with something for all ages. The local area has lots of gorgeous walks and cycle routes, offering the perfect way to admire the amazing natural landscape. Attractions nearby include:
