The Cottage, a cosy retreat within Poplar Hall, offers an intimate hideaway for two. As you push open the garden gate, the overhanging clematis guides you to the conservatory door, the entrance to your sanctuary. The sunny conservatory serves as a delightful dining room, leading to an open-plan lounge and kitchen with a shower room and stairs up to the double bedroom, offering beautiful views. Fully heated in winter and designed with plenty of windows for the hot summers, Suffolk being the UK's sunshine coast.

Outside, a sunken patio with furniture and steps up into a mature private garden provide a tranquil setting. Ample parking is available a few meters away from the cottage. Cots are thoughtfully provided for the little ones, and well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed.

Poplar Hall is a 16th-century house nestled away in the tiny rural hamlet of Frostenden, surrounded by beautiful countryside with quiet sandy beaches only two miles away and the quintessentially English seaside town of Southwold just over three miles away.

The Cottage sleeps 2 & The Lofthouse sleeps 4.

Grocery and farm shops, pubs and restaurants, post office and off-license are all within 1 and a 1/2 mile.

Poplar Hall is surrounded by beautiful countryside with quiet sandy beaches only two miles away and the beautiful English seaside town of Southwold just over three miles away. Southwold’s sand and pebble beach with colourful beach huts is a very popular local attraction.

We’re also a short drive away from Walberswick where you can recapture childhood memories of crabbing or create new ones for the next generation. Walberswick also has a lovely sandy beach for building castles or bathing in the sunshine.

Poplar Hall is a 16th Century house nestled away in the tiny rural hamlet of Frostenden, surrounded by beautiful countryside with quiet sandy beaches only two miles away and the quintessentially English seaside town of Southwold just over three miles away.

The Cottage - Sleeps 2
Push open the Cottage garden gate and brush past the overhanging clematis on your way to the conservatory door, the entrance to your hideaway. The sunny conservatory serves as your dining room and leads to an open plan lounge and kitchen with shower room off and stairs up to the double bedroom with beautiful views. Fully heated in winter and lots of windows for the hot summers - Suffolk is the UK’s sunshine coast after all!

Outside is your sunken patio with furniture and steps up into your mature private garden. There’s plenty of parking a few metres away from your cottage. Cots are available for your little ones. A well-behaved dog is welcome.

Lofthouse - Sleeps 4
Opposite the main house is the entrance to the tastefully renovated stables block, the Lofthouse. You’ll pass the private garden with patio area and furniture on your way to the entrance to your holiday oasis. Open the front door to the kitchen and dining area with bathroom off. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there is a double bedroom to the right, a large open plan living space to the left with twin bedroom off that. An additional single bed can be set up in both bedrooms.

Fully heated in winter with lots of windows for hot summers it’s very comfortable any time of the year - after all Suffolk is the UK’s sunshine coast! Cots are available for your little ones. A well-behaved dog is welcome.

South Barn at Wangford Farm, Wangford, Southwold, Suffolk (Sleeps 1-4)


South Barn, a beautifully appointed holiday cottage, is set in a stunning area of Suffolk. Located between the pretty village of Wangford and the Edwardian seaside town of Southwold. It’s ideally placed for Southwold (about 3 mins) and the A12 (about 2 mins), providing easy access to the heritage coast. Southwold, with its pier, beaches, harbour, shops and restaurants, is an ideal choice for holidays all year round. The Heritage Coast has something for all the family; an abundance of wildlife reserves, stately homes, theme parks, animal parks and of course, the Broads.

Great care and attention have been paid to every aspect of this holiday home. South Barn caters for 4 persons in 2 double bedrooms, 1 with en-suite. There is also a full family bathroom. Its open private garden is great for families, whilst also catering for couples looking for the ideal peaceful relaxing holiday cottage location.

When entering the house, you are welcomed by a sunny and bright open plan living area with original oak beams and polished wooden floors. This room is a lovely space for all the family to relax at any time of day. There is a comfortable seating area with HD digital TV and DVD player, dining area and well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen is well designed and has plenty of equipment for you to cook up a storm!

Both bedrooms are spacious, the master having an en-suite. Both have fully vaulted and beamed ceilings with views over fields and woodlands. Sealey mattresses help provide the best night's sleep whilst blackout blinds keep the sunlight away from pleasant dreams. 

Outside is an enclosed private garden and garden furniture. This provides a space where children can play, a place to relax or dine alfresco. 

Wangford is a lovely village and a great base for those who want to enjoy the best of both coast and country. The village itself has an illustrious past and is home to many fine buildings within the village and high street. There are a variety of places to eat and drink in the village, Southwold and the surrounding area, so you will not be short of choice.

On those days when you want to travel and explore the area, you will find that Suffolk has many attractions, covering all interests. This includes Snape Maltings, Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills, Easton Farm Park, Redwings Horse Sanctuary, National Trust houses and gardens and more.

This 3 storey house can accommodate 8 people. There are 2 king size bedrooms and 2 twins.
