Gower View Penthouse, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire


Gower View Penthouse is a much-loved family holiday home graded 5 Star by Visit Wales. It is located within the Millennium Coastal Park, where more than 1,500 acres have been transformed into 22 kilometres of beautifully restored coastline, offering spectacular views across to the Gower Peninsula. The penthouse sits just 40 metres from the soft sandy beach at the mouth of the River Loughor, making it an ideal location for family holidays. The expansive tidal sands provide a fantastic natural play area for children, while the ever-changing views and memorable sunsets create a truly special seaside setting.

Accommodation
Gower View Penthouse is a duplex apartment arranged over two floors, with the bedrooms on the lower level and a bright, open-plan living space above. The apartment is furnished to a high standard throughout, featuring porcelain floor tiles and underfloor heating in every room. Access is via the third floor of the building and there is no lift.

The open-plan living area is spacious and filled with natural light, with clearly defined areas for dining and relaxing. Full-length balconies run along both sides of the apartment, both furnished for outdoor seating. The dining-side balcony enjoys the morning sun and is ideal for breakfast, while the sea-facing balcony catches the sun from late morning onwards and provides the perfect spot to enjoy stunning sunsets. The living space includes underfloor heating, an electric wall radiator, smart TV, home cinema sound system with DVDs, a selection of films and Hyperoptic 1GB wireless broadband. A highchair is provided, and a stair gate is fitted at the top of the stairs for added peace of mind for families with young children.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a ceramic hob with cooker hood, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Cupboards are stocked with essential items such as tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, laundry products, foil and cling film.

All bedrooms benefit from underfloor heating and electric wall radiators, and beds are made up for arrival with fresh, crisp linen and a choice of summer or winter duvets. Hand, bath and beach towels are provided. The master bedroom opens onto a private sea-facing balcony and offers lovely views to wake up to each morning. It features a king-size divan bed, smart TV, walk-in wardrobe and hairdryer, along with an en-suite shower room with a spacious power shower, basin, WC, wall heater and heated towel rail. A travel cot is stored in the wardrobe, along with a stunt kite and a selection of toys, games and books.

The second and third bedrooms each offer twin beds and fitted wardrobes, with a bed guard available in the second bedroom for younger guests. The family bathroom includes a bath with power shower over, basin, WC, wall heater and heated towel rail. Both bathrooms are stocked with hand wash, shower gel and toilet rolls.

Both balconies include storage boxes containing outdoor furniture, beach chairs, buckets, spades and beach games. Parking permits operate on site, with one designated parking space and one visitor space included. Bike storage sheds are available around the complex, and a communal lawn outside the building adds to the relaxed seaside atmosphere.

This is an excellent location for family holidays, as well as for cyclists, walkers, golfers, birdwatchers, racing enthusiasts and garden lovers.

Visiting the Area
A short stroll along the beachfront leads to St Elli’s Bay Bistro and Brasserie, as well as a nearby gelateria serving excellent ice creams and sorbets. The surrounding area offers beautiful beaches and a wide range of activities, including golfing, cycling, kayaking, windsurfing and canoeing. Just a four-minute walk from the penthouse, the Visitor Information Centre provides helpful local advice and features a cafeteria, an ice cream shop selling locally made Joe’s ice cream and a small retail area offering Welsh gifts, maps and guides. Nearby attractions include Sandy Water Park, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Llyn Llech Owain Country Park and Castle Llandeilo.

The Stables Lodge is a beautifully renovated Victorian stables building providing 7 self-contained apartments located close to the village of Burnaston. Each self-contained suite enjoys uninterrupted views across open countryside.

The Penthouse offers the ultimate in luxurious accommodation with delightful rural views from separate east and west-facing balconies.

This first-floor luxury suite provides extensive, air-conditioned accommodation comprising a large double bedroom with a full en suite bathroom, a separate WC and a large walk-in wardrobe.

The spacious living room has a twin-bed settee, flat-screen TV with DVD and free View and a dining area for six. The adjacent fully equipped kitchen features a breakfast bar and laundry facilities. The large west-facing balcony has a lounge seating area with a view across open countryside where you can sit and watch the sun go down.
