Stanhow Bungalow offers superb self-catering accommodation near Northallerton. Our property is in glorious North Yorkshire countryside, ideal for a peaceful breakaway. This working farm has walks from the door.

Accommodation:

The bungalow is all one level peacefully situated on our working farm with lovely views and an enclosed garden with parking for 2 cars, it is warm and comfortable and well maintained by the owner. Price includes electricity, gas heating, linen and towel. No electricity is available for vehicles, Scotch Corner and Tesco in Northallerton have a charging service.

The kitchen/diner comes with a variety of appliances: washing machine, drier, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, oven, hob, grill, coffee making and kettle. The living area has comfortable seating, a wood burner, a TV, a DVD player and Wi-Fi. Welcome pack on arrival including tea, coffee, milk and biscuits

One double and two twin bedrooms are available. There is a separate WC and bathroom.

Outside there is a private and enclosed garden with seating and a BBQ. A great place to unwind with an afternoon tipple.

Visiting Northallerton & Exploring North Yorkshire:

Our farm is on the coast to coast walk and Durham to York cycle work. We are a good centre for horse riding, including Ripon racing. Lots of good local pubs and restaurants are nearby and the famous Betty’s tearoom is in Northallerton. We are centrally placed between the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. Tenants Auction House has very good hospitality. In nearby Northallerton, there is a range of attractions to visit. The Forbidden Corner is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises created in a four acre garden in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Kiplin Hall has lots of rooms filled with treasures, a garden and tea room. Big Sheep & Little Cow Farm is a family run farm where you can hold and feed animals.

Woodlands Farm, Thimbleby, Northallerton, North Yorkshire (Sleeps 1-4)

Woodlands Farm used to be a working sheep farm but now offers AA 5 Star rated accommodation. The farm is in the picturesque village of Thimbleby, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Our nearest town is the affluent county town of Northallerton. The accommodation is surrounded by stunning scenery including the Cleveland Way.

There are 4 places available to stay at the farm. The Middleton which was once the stables now offers spacious accommodation. Ideal for families, it can sleep 4 in a double/twin and a sofa bed. Off the bedroom is an en suite bathroom.

The Hurworth & The Bedale are en suite double rooms. These well appointed rooms have Wi-Fi, TV/DVD player and a Roberts Radio Sound System.

The Ainsty is a suite that can sleep 4 in a double and sofa bed. There is an open plan living area which comes with a flat screen TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi and FREE Wi-Fi. Please note access to the bathroom is through the bedroom.

Woodlands Farm offers secure paddocks and a range of equestrian facilities that guests can use during their stay. With the North York Moors National Park on your doorstep, riders won’t be disappointed.

Located within Thimbleby you will find plenty of public footpaths from the doorstep. Other than walking there are many things to do including cycling and golfing. Popular walks include the Cleveland Way, which circles the Moors with a section along the coast.

North Yorkshire is full of beautiful towns and villages. Attractions include the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors, Castle Howard, Flamingo Land and National Railway Museum
