Our delightful cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is great for a family or group looking to escape the pressures of modern life. The cottage is in an elevated position, enjoying stunning views across the Pentland Firth and across the island.

The cottage comes with a cosy living area with comfy seating and free Wi-Fi is included. A bedroom comes with a lovely double bed, perfect for a restful night’s sleep.

We are only 2 miles to a well-stocked shop and there are two hotels within 2 miles. One provides great evening meals throughout the summer. The island is brimming with history, with many sites that date from prehistoric times to the 20th Century. The area has an abundance of gorgeous walking routes, including sea cliff walks and hill walking. Sea trout fishing is available on Hoy

Onedin Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation close to the village of Longhope on the Isle of Hoy in Orkney. The charming holiday cottage combines all the comforts of a modern bungalow yet retains its unique character as a traditional building.

The holiday cottage has two large public rooms one boasting an open fire. These rooms offer comfortable seating, a TV and a radio.

The kitchen is fully equipped offering everything you will need including a microwave, washing machine, toaster, oven, cutlery, crockery and utensils.

There are two bedrooms sleeping up to five people. One bedroom has a double bed and a single bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds. The bathroom has a bath, overhead shower, toilet and wash basin.

The holiday cottage is in a central location making it an ideal base for those who enjoy walking, cycling or touring the beautiful island of Hoy. Hoy is very rich in history with sites that date from prehistoric times to the 20th Century. Hills and stunning sea cliffs offer excellent hill walking and bird watching opportunities.
