The fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering simple and convenient, with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and high chair provided. Bedroom one offers a king-size bed, bedroom two has a double bed, and bedroom three features two single beds. A family bathroom serves all guests comfortably.

Visiting the Area

Barnbackle Cottage is conveniently located on a local bus and cycle route, allowing guests to explore the area without the need for a car, while still enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. A short drive brings visitors to nearby towns such as Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas and Dumfries, each offering a variety of shops, cafés and local attractions.

The surrounding area provides plenty to see and do, from the historic ruins of Caerlaverock Castle and peaceful woodland walks in Mabie Forest, to coastal days out at Southerness with its lighthouse and sandy beach. Those with an interest in art, history and culture can also enjoy exploring the many towns and villages associated with Robert Burns.
