Castle Kennels in Aberfeldy offers wonderful self catering accommodation in a delightful conversion of the original dog kennels for Castle Menzies. We are located in a beautiful part of Perthshire and a great base for exploring the local area.
Accommodation
Our charming property is only 200 yards from the castle and benefits from its own direct entrance some 150yds off the B846. The house is an open but secluded setting, with a lovely garden to relax in whilst savouring the stunning views across the Tay Valley. Situated to the south of the property is a stone fenced patio which is enclosed, the ideal place for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.
On the ground floor is an open plan living/dining area with a Sky and a DVD. The perfect space to unwind after a day sightseeing. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave etc.
Two bedrooms are available: a double and twin/double. Both rooms share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Visiting Aberfeldy & Exploring Perthshire
Our property is the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life and a great base for exploring the Upper Tay Valley and scenic countryside. Aberfeldy is a small market town and the heart of all that goes on in the Upper Tay Valley. You can enjoy walking along lots of beautiful single-track back roads, including the road from Amulree to Kenmore, through Glenquaich and over the hill into Kenmore which has outstanding views of Loch Tay. Edinburgh is around 1 ½ hours away and has an array of fabulous attractions to see, including Edinburgh Castle and The Royal Mile. Alternatively, head to Aviemore and enjoy the ski slopes of Cairngorm. Further attractions to visit include:
