Highland Cottage offers superb self-catering accommodation in the historic village of Braemar. We are set in a peaceful and relaxing location in Aberdeenshire in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
This lovely property is beautifully furnished and comes with a range of facilities to suit all your needs. The house benefits from underfloor heating.
Upon entering the house, you will find a sofa on the tiled floors. A great place for enjoying wonderful views of the garden with a cup of coffee. A small cloakroom/WC is also on the ground floor. Two ground floor bedrooms are available: a king en suite and a twin en suite room.
The living space is upstairs and features an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, seating, a TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker. A delightful window seat enjoys views over the villages and surrounding hills. A dining area includes a large Indonesian teak table which seats up to 10 people. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a with fridge freezer, electric hob and oven, dishwasher and microwave. The master bedrooms have a king-size bed and modern en suite facilities.
The local area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Walking, hiking, mountaineering, biking, skiing, horse riding, fishing, swimming, golfing, bird watching, tennis, gliding, putting and bowling are all available. The village of Braemar is surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery and beautiful glens. There is also a thriving art and music scene, with concerts, ceilidhs and other events held regularly throughout the area. Excellent attractions include Braemar Castle, Balmoral Castle, Invercauld House, Braemar Highland Games Centre & Ben Avon.
