Mizpah & Oakwood Eco Lodges, Benson, Wallingford, Oxfordshire

Mizpah & Oakwood Eco Lodges are a pair of beautifully finished lodges, at Benson in Oxfordshire. They are just a short drive from Wallingford and offer a relaxing and cosy bolt hole for those who want some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

This light and sunny lodge is open plan. It is a lovely place for couples and families and we have ensured it is well equipped throughout. The lodge has been built from engineered timber and hemp, the walls lined with clayboard and there are oak floors throughout. It has the latest infrared heating & LED lighting, to ensure that it is the ultimate in low carbon living. All electricity is bought from the ‘Good Energy’, a company who source their electricity via renewable energy.

We are only 3 miles from the nearest railway station at Cholsey so can arrange transport from the station on request if you would like a car-free break. We are on a number of on and off-road cycle routes so we are an ideal location if you are either just passing through or wanting to stick around a bit to fully explore the area.

If cycling and walking is not your thing, then there are plenty of sites to see within a very short drive by car. The remains of Wallingford Castle which was the first Norman castle to be commissioned by William the Conqueror is only 2 miles away. The historic village of Ewelme with the oldest continually functioning Church school (founded 1437) in England is also 2 miles away. Henley is 15 minutes by car but there's also a regular bus between Henley and Wallingford.
