29 Broughton Grove is a cosy mid-terrace cottage in a quiet cul-de-sac. A sheltered sunny, safe garden, with private access onto the canal towpath in countryside surroundings. We are just the place for relaxing, or exploration of Skipton town and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Convenient bus and rail service, and private parking. 1 or 2 dogs are welcome.

Accommodation
Our cottage is perfect for a peaceful break in a lovely area of the country. The enclosed garden is ideal for al fresco dining in the sun and the cottage sleeps 3 people in total.

A traditionally furnished comfortable lounge includes coal-effect gas fire, Freesat TV and DVD player. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances: full-size gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, toaster, and dining table. The kitchen windows offer delightful views of the narrow boats gliding along the canal.

A large family bedroom with a good quality, very comfortable double and single bed. The bathroom comes with a shower over the full-size bath.

From the kitchen, a pleasant enclosed fully dog-proof, interesting garden, with a patio and washing line. Garden furniture is provided, great for a sunny afternoon tea. There is a private access onto the towpath, via the gate and seven steps; offering countryside views and gentle walking to the park and Skipton town; otherwise, head left towards Gargrave. A dog walker’s delight.

Visiting Skipton & Exploring North Yorkshire
The cottage is on the outskirts of the market town of Skipton - often called 'the Gateway to the Dales' - renowned for its well-preserved castle, quaint cobbled ginnels, it's wide high street with market stalls on the setts.

There are many local attractions and activities: the park, sports and leisure centres, museum, cinema, Settle-Carlisle railway, cycle routes, walks and rambles from the easy to the strenuous, such as the Three Peaks and the Dales Way. Being the nodal town of the Yorkshire Dales, Skipton offers amazingly easy access to many well known visitor gems such as Keighley and Oakworth of the Railway children; Haworth of the Brontes; the famous spa towns of Harrogate and Ilkley; Hawes and Reeth, of Herriot fame, and the magical flood-lit Fountains Abbey, to name just a few. Not surprisingly, visitors return again and again, saying "There is so much more to do and see!"
