Weirford House offers wonderful self-catering in the quaint village of Sampford Courtenay. We are just a short stroll from the New Inn which serves fantastic food and drink. Okehampton is only 4 miles away and further afield you can visit lots of fantastic attractions in Devon.
Accommodation:
Our charming property, The Garden Barn, is nestled across a walled courtyard from the house. The barn sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for a tranquil holiday in the country.
This old stone and cob barn used to be the bullpen for the farm and now offers modern, high-quality accommodation to suit all your needs. Unwind in the cosy sitting room which has a comfy sofa, a large TV, comfy seating and a dining table. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the well-equipped which comes with a range of appliances: fridge, ceramic hob, fan oven, microwave and mini-Nespresso machine.
Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the bedroom which comes with a lovely king-size bed. The en suite shower includes a good-sized shower. All towels, dressing gowns, slippers and linen are provided.
Outside there is a garden with a BBQ and seating area for al fresco dining in the summer months. You are also welcome to wander around the beautiful main garden and meadow.
Visiting Sampford Courtenay & Exploring Devon:
The delightful village of Sampford Courtenay is one of the most picturesque villages in West Devon and offers a great base for exploring the area. The stunning high tors of Dartmoor are just a few miles away, whilst a gorgeous sandy beach near Bude is around 45 minutes by car. Further south, you can visit the idyllic beaches in Brixham, Dartmouth and Salcombe. You can also visit the bustling city of Exeter, with a train line from Okehampton offering fast access to the city. Excellent attractions to visit include:
