Stromness is the second largest town with its quaint winding cobbled streets and many lanes to explore and is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Orkney. You can browse through the shops which are full of crafts, artwork, designer pottery and stylish knitwear, all made on the island. 10 minutes walk down to the town and Harbour where the Northlink Ferry ‘The Hamnavoe’ docks.
When you are feeling peckish, why not stop off at one of the town's coffee shops or local restaurants. You can enjoy tasty food and drink, with many of the ingredients used are locally sourced from Orkney, such as meat, fish, lobster, scallops, cheese and ice cream.
Orkney has fantastic walks and cycle routes, many of which start from right outside the front door of the apartments. The island has stunning scenery, astounding archaeology and pretty towns and villages that are just waiting to be explored and enjoyed.
