Willow Lakes, Ashby cum Fenby, Grimsby, Lincolnshire (Sleeps 1-4)

Willow Lakes is a private 44 acre country park, located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, immediately adjacent to a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) perfect for a holiday retreat.

With 20 acres set aside for paddocks, a stable block for 20 horses, and over 3 miles of post and rail fencing, Willow Lakes is also a working livery yard - and that coupled with the lakes, the space, the views, the beautifully maintained park and the backdrop of grazing horses - make it a perfect retreat for you to escape the demands of everyday life.

Willow Lakes actively encourages the preservation and conservation of all wildlife and its environment. A wide variety of birds, including herons, cormorants, swifts, swallows, house martins, skylarks, kestrels, kites, buzzards, dippers, pied wagtails and even kingfishers are regular visitors to the park, especially around the lakes. Foxes, rabbits, hedgehogs, shrews and field mice all seem to find their own habitat, particularly in the beetle bank and wild flower hedgerows.

There is a choice of several 2 bedroom cottages and a 3 bedroom cottage. Each cottage has an open plan living/dining room/kitchen.

There is a 2 bedroom cottage with a family bathroom on the first floor, and double and single bedroom.

The remaining 2 bedroom cottages have a master bedroom on the ground floor with an ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom with shower room on the first floor.

The 3 bedroom cottage also has an open plan living/dining room/kitchen, a master bedroom on the ground floor with ensuite, 2 single bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor.

With only a minimum 3 night stay requirement, it gives you the flexibility to tailor make your break to suit your availability. (2 night minimum stays are available from January to end of March 2022), all other times minimum of 3 night stay.

There is plenty of off street parking, plus CCTV and ANPR cameras.

Why not visit the historic city of Lincoln, which is less than an hours drive way, with its stunning Cathedral and Castle, as well as the country’s third steepest street, aptly named Steep Street. You will find plenty of bars, cafés, and restaurants to enjoy a night out or a bite to eat during the day.

Also nearby is Louth, well known for its weekly markets where you can purchase some of Lincolnshire finest produce. Just beyond the town is Hubbard Hill, great for a walk and picnic.

For local sporting events, try horse racing at Market Rasen, plus car and bike events at Cadwell Park, both venues are under an hour’s drive.
