Down the river is the famous ‘stepping stones’ at Dovedale. You can cycle through the pretty village of Tissington. Cycle hire is available at Parsley Hay and Mappleton. Nearby Carsington Water, Severn Trent reservoir is a great site for outdoor pursuits. The visitor centre houses a number of shops as well as an interactive exhibit.
