Within a stone’s throw of our holiday home, you can reach the centre of Ballater where there are coffee shops, butchers, restaurants, gift shops and a good supermarket. Those who are after more outdoor pursuits we are close to the River Dee for fishing, bike hire in the village, many walks for all abilities, golf course, tennis courts and bowling green all within the village. There are plenty of distilleries nearby to visit and do some tasting and of course many castles including Balmoral.
