Kernow Fisherman's/Coastguard's Cottages offer self-catering holiday accommodation situated in Porthleven, Cornwall.
A blazing log fire in the grate, dog and children toasting their toes on the fender, smells of bread baking & a hearty stew bubbling away on the kitchen range, sounds of tinkling on the old piano in the corner of the ‘parlour’(front room).
Well, live it all again in our Fishermans self-catering cottages, wood floors, open beams & open log fires, oil fired Rayburns and TV. Furniture from the early 1900s creates an atmosphere of bygone days. Even bedtime is an adventure, climbing into the high beds, though no need for candlesticks & nightcaps like Little Red Riding Hood’s granny!
On offer, there are 2 & 3 bedroomed cottages, each with courtyard & outdoor furniture, 3-4 parking spaces off-road, 1 with enclosed garden & a Dolphin walk-in bath/shower. The coastguard now has a stairlift and walk-in bathroom too.
‘An Lety’ & ‘An Cresjy’ can be let as one unit, giving 5 bedrooms + possible downstairs bedroom + 3 WC bath/shower rooms. Ideal for a great family get-together, where 3 generations can relax together or each one keeps to their own space.
We are two minutes from the beach & our working fishing harbour, skirted by the Coastal footpath & surrounded by some excellent eating places & pubs, affording entertainment to suit all tastes.
Don’t forget your pets! They are most welcome in our Porthleven cottages.
