Although we are known as the forgotten part of the North East of Scotland, if you come here to visit we are sure you will want to come back again. It is a very beautiful part of Scotland and we are in a good spot as we are rural but not too far from the towns - like Huntly, Turriff, Banff, Elgin and nearby fishing villages. An ideal base for exploring the Scottish Highlands.

All of our Scottish cottages are well equipped and have a homely feel. They include comfortable bedrooms with beds made up ready for your arrival, cosy sitting rooms with wood burning stoves, a bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and garden area. As mentioned, linen is provided as are towels and logs for the wood burner.
There are lots of things to do nearby, including walking, golfing, salmon and trout fishing, skiing in the Highlands and surfing the waves of Scotland's sandy beaches at Sandend and Banff. You can also visit unspoilt fishing villages like Crovie, Pennan, Gardenstown, Portsoy and Cullen. Big events in the area include Fochabers Speyfest, Dufftown Whisky Festivals, Portsoy Boat Festival, Turriff Show, Keith Show and various local Highland games.
It is ideal for walking, cycling, surfing, following the Whisky Trail or the Castle Trail, exploring rugged coastline, visiting pretty fishing villages, salmon and trout fishing, pony trekking, golf, tracing your ancestors or visiting National Trust for Scotland properties - and even skiing, which is within one hour’s drive.
